The MIO Bar at Park Hyatt Milano

A new city bar opened in Milan not too long ago (2014) inside the world-renowned Park Hyatt Hotel Milano; an informal yet glamorous destination for jestsetters and epicurious from all around the globe called the MIO bar. During Milan Fashion Week, last season, I had the pleasure of sharing a table with the hotel's Marketing Communications Manager, Ilaria Bucci, as we sampled some of the best Italian-with-a-twist dishes the grand restaurant had to offer.

At first sight, it was clear that the owners of the luxurious Park Hyatt Milano were not afraid to spend to get best of quality out of the MIO bar and its adjacent Michelin-starred restaurant, VUN. And for the warmer months, a natural extension of the MIO bar recently opened its doors to accomodate another array of seating options for the hotel's posh clientele with an exclusive view to the scenographic setting of the Milanese Galleria. If you enjoy refined, modern Italian cuisine, as well as dinning outside within such a gorgeous landscape, simply ask for a table at The Dehors !

MIO is open for breakfast, lunch, Aperitivo, supper and after dinner for which, creative chef Andrea Aprea, has curated specific and popular dishes, blending together an exquisite mix of Italian tradition and contemporary international gastronomy. You can reserve a table, dine at the counter, stand at the bar or enjoy the perfect Milanese experience within the private gardens feel of Dehors. Since it was my first time at the MIO bar, Ilaria highly recommended that I tried the Italian Club Sandwich; a masterpiece of the house and an all-american classic revisited with latin touches. In fact, the dish was so big I couldn't finish it, although I really tried ;) When I'll go back next month, I'll make sure to save room for the infamous Tiramisù she praised for the two hours we sat down !

A really big thanks to Ilaria, the Park Hyatt Milano and the MIO bar for having me during Fashion Week and for sharing with me yet, another bite (pun intended!) of what Italy has best to offer.

Today's Everyday Fashion: Happy New Year!

It's going to be a tad chilly tonight, so I'm deciding between these options for accessorizing my dress! This dress is pretty green in person (same shade as the cardigan) so I think #1 is my favorite, but cast your vote in the comment section below!

ps. I have bronchitis and I'm a wheezing, coughing mess today. I got my first-ever spray tan yesterday and I'm giving it all the credit for masking how gross I feel in these pictures. Also, no post tomorrow so I'll see you guys on Wednesday! Happy New Year!

Today's Everyday Fashion: Christmas Cheer

Buddy the Elf might tell you the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear - but I think wearing red peplum and sequins takes the cake! I wore the green jeans outfit while hosting a Christmas dinner with my friends last weekend. It was purposely tongue-in-cheek (we joked that I looked like an elf), and I love showing my Christmas cheer throughout the season in over-the-top ensembles like both of these. Do you prefer understated or over-the-top holiday looks?
