Last week, I flew to NYC to have some "ChicaOrbit" fun: As you may know, I am the new "Chica Orbit Style Guy" and in the past have designed several Orbit Gum-inspired red carpet dresses for Chica Orbit as well as other celebs.

This past week, I was invited to attend the fabulous People En Español "50 Más Bellos" (50 Most Beautiful) Party in NYC as well as film some fun Style Tip vignettes--to be featured on the ChicaOrbit.comsite (en Español, por supuesto!), as well as help style the Geek To Chic Winner for the fuchsia carpet of the "50 MásBellos" Party. Yes, that's a MOUTHFUL! But , you see, that's why you need some Orbit chicle, so you keep your mouth fresh and clean--and be fashionable at the same time!!!

For the party, I donned my best Orbit-blue teal jacket, accessorized it with my custom Swarovski-crystal Orbit pin, and a pocket scarf, especially made from the new "Strawberry Remix"-flavor Orbit Gum print. My date for the night was none other than: Chica Orbit! She's the Latina version of the Orbit Gum Girl; just as fun, just as gorgeous and just as sassy! Chica Orbit came in her best "Orbit" uniform--a white cotton pique dresses with oversized buttons, an Orbit Gum foulard (neck scarf) and white almost-to-the-knee boots.

At the party's fuchsia carpet, we were met by the winner of the Chica OrbitGeek To Chic Contest. The beautiful Noemi Salazar won this contest and as a result, got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to get a makeover--make-up and hair by professionals, as well as walk the carpet at a fabulous event and the icing on the cake...I outfitted her in a custom "Nick Verreos For Orbit" one-shoulder cocktail dress in an Orbit Gum print (very subtle).

Once inside the party--held at Gustavino's NYC-- we headed straight to the Orbit Gum Strawberry Remix VIP Lounge area. It was done like a patio/courtyard--with a booth and benches and HUGE strawberries created using Orbit Gum packages (love that!). We hobnobbed with all the top Spanish-language Celebs, from novela actors and actresses, to beauty queens, TV hosts and some of the People En Español50 Most Beautiful, of course.

I woke up bright and early (3:30AM to be exact! My hats off to all the morning anchors out there!) to drive to New Jersey (I was staying in Manhattan) to film a LIVE Morning TV Segment on Univision (Spanish-language Network) NYC affiliate, Channel 41 WXTV"Al Despertar" News Show. My segment was on around 6:45AM and I was invited to recap the fashion from the previous night at the "50 Más Bellos" Party as well the fun I had with Chica Orbit.

And as a special treat, I brought along gowns from my NIKOLAKI Collection to show trends from some of the top ladies on the Red Carpet. Three lovely ladies (one of them happened to be the daughter of "Al Despertar" anchor Marijoel Duran) wore dresses and gowns that I brought to show examples of styles that would be worn by FABULOUS A-List Latinas like Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara and Giselle Blondet, TV Personality and hostess of Univision's "Nuestra Belleza Latina". The TV segment went perfectly and all the women in the studio--anchors and my lovely "models" were smitten with my designs (por supuesto!). With that, I returned to Manhattan to do a bunch of interviews, and then check out of my hotel and waive"Ciao" (for now) to NYC and Chica Orbit...Until Next Time!!!

Well Pageant Kids, in my last post, I wrote down all my "Nick Top Picks" from the Miss USA 2012 Preliminary Competition, which occurred two nights ago on Wednesday at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, site of the Final LIVE Miss USA 2012Telecast (which is Sunday night in case y'all forgot!). As a Pageant Fan, Fashion Designer, Red Carpet commentator and brother of a sister who has been in Pageants (The Miss Venezuela Pageant, no less!), I find it is my DUTY to speak of the FAB and also NOT SO FAB on this subject which is very near and dear to my heart. So, here are my "WHY Oh Why?", "Huney it's 2012 not 1988" and "Are You a Stripper or a Miss USA?" Picks--So, Enjoy and of course, feel free to let me know YOUR thoughts--

Miss Kentucky USA 2012 Amanda Mertz: This strapless very fitted sequined applique bustier gown with red taffeta fitted-to-flare "Mermaid" attached skirt was just too late 80's for me. I like the shape of the gown-skirt but it's the UBER fitted/UBER boob-a-fied sequined applique corset which instantly brings it into 1988 fashion territory. If she's trying to do a "Sofia Vergara", she might want to spend the big bucks and get the design teams of Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera or Oscar de la Renta to help her...or at least get a designer to knock off one of those FAB Red Carpet looks.
Miss Washington USA 2012 Christina Clarke: Huney...what were you thinkin'? I could show this photo to someone and ask "What year is this from?" and the answer would be "Ummm, 1988!" Hands Down.Miss Washington USA 2012 Christina Clarke is so pretty--just look at her! I just do not know how she could not have a Fashion Gay near her in the great State of Washington to help her and guide her something more chic, streamlined and modern!
Miss Florida USA 2012 Karina Brez: Oh Karina. The gown. Is. So. 1985. I am having Flashbacks of my Prom. All I want to do is give her a Corsage. Not only is the dress a mess (really, that high side slit was necessary?), the "Jersey Shore/Real Housewives of New Jersey" hair style, plus those platform stacked heels, plus the too-tight corset top section (hello rippling!), it all adds to well, not one of my favorites. Now, speaking of shoes...

While the Miss USA 2012 Preliminary Competition had plenty of too-high leg bearing slits and cha-cha-bearing plunging necklines, these two ladies were up there in my "Oh Huney" category. Miss Georgia USA 2012 Jasmyn "Jazz" Wilkins (on the left) in the white plunging neckline...AND...ULTRA high slit...AND backless...gown---and Miss District of Columbia USA 2012 Monique Tompkins (on the right) in her gold one-shoulder very high side slit number...are on my "Stripper or Miss USA Winner?" section. And if you have to ask me why, you have a Style Problem. I guess I am an old Pageant Fuddy-Duddy but...these are NOT Miss USA-winning gowns. These are dresses that will get a Rich Russian Billionaire to come back to your Vegas Hotel room. Just saying. But maybe they will prove me wrong on Sunday night and win the entire thing and get the HIGHEST EVENING GOWN POINTS EVAH!!!! We'll see...
But the HOOCHIE Gown Title goes to...
Miss Texas USA 2012 Brittany Booker: First off, this woman is absolutely stunning--all 5' 11" of her! She's an AMAZON! I just cannot fathom why she would wear this nude sequined overlay over a strapless micro-mini dress to compete for the Miss USA pageant. Other than to get people talking...and not in a good way. The dress makes actual strippers jealous. I really wish this beautiful woman would have called by NIKOLAKIdesign studio and we might have provided her with an appropriate Miss USA gown.
Finally, my Favorite: Miss Peacock...
Miss Minnesota USA 2012 Nitaya Panemalaythong: Now, that is a GOWN. For the Miss Universe National Parade of Nations. Not for the Miss USA Preliminary Competition. I give her points for going there. It's very "Flora and Fauna" and Vegas Showgirl. She's obviously having a great time wearing it. But if a celeb wore this on the red carpet--she would have been SLAMMED in a not-so-nice way.
It is one thing to love Peacocks or be inspired by their color and beauty, but to actually try to make yourself INTO an actual Peacock...for the Miss USA Pageant no less....is just WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! (but I think I'd like to hit the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino bar with her!!!)
Sunday Night is the Miss USA 2012 LIVE Telecast and you know I will be watching and yes, the day after...reviewing my "Best" and "Hoochies" of the Evening Gown bunch...Happy Pageant Watching!!!

Marc Jacobs got a more million dollar Louis Vuitton contract for Kanye a few years ago. Kanye launched a sneakers collection with Louis Vuitton. Kanye's been grateful for Jacobs since then. Jacobs controls Kanye in many ways. It was Marc's idea for Kim Kardashian to wear that Givenchy dress. He wanted to make fun of the pregnant woman at the Met Ball.( Last year everyone was making fun of Jacobs in the lace see-through shirt dress that he was wearing at the Met Ball. ) He even made Kanye steal an old Hungarian song.

They can't sue Kanyeyet because it was only played on walls and on SNL and it's not official. But if it mades the Album he promised he will step in the ring. It's funny because the 66 buildings experience was filmed on the singer's 70th birthday

That's right, someone from Paris. That unnamed designer is definitely Marc Jacobs. Kanye used to attend his fashion shows each season. He has not attented any LV Womenswear show for 2 years, he only attends the Mens LV show.In 2011 Kanye wasn't invited to the Louis Vuitton show, details nymag. I suppose they could not agree on MJ's conditions. By the way this exclusive condition is not new to Jacobs. He usually has some models walk his show with "exclusive condition". So how does Jacobs control the entire fashion industry?
First, he buys the people. He gets them good jobs. For example for Inez and Vinoodh photographer duo. He got them Louis Vuitton campaign contracts many times and now he got them a very big job: The latest video clip of Lady Gaga. He tells them what he wants in the clip and they realize Jacobs` fantasy in the video clip.

The official music video for Lady Gaga’s new track “Applause” has released. They first presented the song last week, followed by a sexy topless spread that the singer had in the latest issue of V Magazine. Photographer duo Inez & Vinoodh produced both the V Magazine spread and now also directed the new music video for the single. Inez and Vinoodh used to make all the Louis Vuitton campaigns, they are great friends of Jacobs. MJ recently gave them the Miu Miu and Nina Ricci campaigns instead of the LV (Steven Meisel shoots the LV campaigns since 2008)... Plus, they `discovered` the first of Marc`s Hungarian model,s Eniko Mihalik in 2008. They booked her for an exclusive 6 months contract.
There is another editorial that belongs to Marc Jacobs in the same issue of V magazine. Australian model Miranda Kerr embodied the HUNGARIAN adult film actress Cicciolina. How interesting is that the model is wearing Louis Vuitton and Givenchy dresses. ( I am Hungarian too)

The Art of Travel Louis Vuitton campaign was shot by Inez and Vinoodh fronted by Marc Jacobs` favorite American model Arizona Muse, who was discovered by him, she first walked the Marc Jacobs and Prada shows.
The story of the campaign: Admiring the Mona Lisa, she realizes a man is following her. After finding she is the only one to have the key to a mysterious trunk where a letter is hidden, she accepts Vuitton’s invitation to a journey, disappearing in a hot air balloon above Paris.
Here is another example... Arizona featured in the Louis Vuitton Cruise Catalog, where Jacobs copied many of my personal pictures. Jacobs follows me everywhere. He hired people to take photos of me on the street. Then he copied the moments of my life for his Cruise Catalog.
The story of the Catalog is quite similar to the Art of Travel campaign`s story: The girl walks on the streets of Paris and a mysterious man is following her everywhere.
Not long after I made pictures at Place Vendome for my Angel Barta Lookbook wearing my own designs, Marc Jacobs copied my pictures with the SAME photographers and the same model from the Louis Vuitton campaign. Jacobs asked them to make a `smiling at Place Vendome` editorial for Vogue Paris. The model had show a big happy smile on EACH pictures just like I did in my lookbook a few months earlier during the haute couture fashion week.
How can a fashion designer control the world famous celebrities?
Well, in Jacobs' case easily. Do you know why Madonna sings and dances they Jacobs wants her to? Why did Madonna sing a song with Jacobs' favorite singer M.I.A ( who featured in the Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign in 2008)?
Because Jacobs gave her the Louis Vuitton 1 year long contract in 2009. Madonna got $10 million for the campaign. Since then Madonna is grateful for Jacobs.

The latest job Jacobs got Terry is the new video clip of Miley Cyrus, the Wrecking Ball was directed by Terry Richardson.

Of course Jonas could not say no to Marc when he asked him to sing this song about my love with Marc. Watch the video, it was recorded in Paris, you will see at 2:15, that the girl in the clip is called Angel, like me and at 0:50 the boy writes " Angel" with red lipstick.
How did Jacobs use one of my idea for several times?
I was wearing my own designed coat in 2011 during Paris Fashion week.

1st. Marc Jacobs copied the concept of my photo for his ad campaign.
2nd. He used my magenta-blue colour combination to design a Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag...
3rd. He not just copied my blue-magenta coat, but also made Lady Gaga wear it!
They met in Paris and he talked her into wearing it! By the way he designed that dress for the french brand Comme des Garcons. ( He often wears Comme de Garcons outfits, for example the pink " nightgown" he was wearing at the Louis Vuitton exhibition opening Event. )

Anna Dello Russo
It seems that Anna Dello Russo ( editor of Vogue Japan) really liked my coat with the big ribbon. After we met she copied me. The brand of her dress is Nina Ricci! What a coincidence! That dress never was on the catwalk, you could see it only on Anna dello Russo.
Marc Jacobs designed that dress with the help of Katie Grand and Peter Copping.
Peter Copping used to be the right hand of Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton for more then 10 years. In 2009 Marc got him the creative director job at Nina Ricci. This way Marc can control the design team at Nina Ricci too. Peter designs what his supporter wants him to. Marc puts his ex colleagues at most of the fashion brands... he wants to control the whole fashion industry.
This is how Marc can copy my ideas for Nina Ricci. The Hungarian models usually walk the NR catwalk.
First Marc copies my designs then spreads it in the whole world... and it becomes a trend.
Guess, I don't need to explain why you see Cara Delenvigne everywhere lately. Delevingne’s rise to modeling stardom can be tracked back to Marc Jacobs and Katie Grand, who frequently puts Delevingne in (and even on the cover of) her magazine,Love. By the way Kate Moss ( the other woman who is so passionately french kissing Jacobs) is on the cover of the same issue of LOVE Magazine. It was Jacobs' idea to launch the Love Magazine and he put Katie Grand as editor in chief.The models featured in the magazine have to realise all his perverse fantasies in the editorials.
Marc Jacobs`s team: Miley Cyrus, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora, Karen Elson, Derek Blasberg. Marc made successful EACH of them.
Jacobs booked Delevingne for his mainline and Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2013 catwalk shows, and picked her to appear nude on his 'Protect The Skin You're In' T-shirts to raise money for skin cancer research... she also starred in Jacobs's perverse short Louis Vuitton video. Marc loves Cara a lot, now he just wants Katie Grand to take responsibility for her instant success, so Jacobs can stay in the background.

I was wearing my vintage style Angel Barta high-waisted bikinis on the beach in 2011 and 2012 summer and posted the photos later on facebook... in 2012 summer Taylor Swift was wearing the exact copy of my bikinis with Marc Jacobs shorts ( her bikinis had no brand, it was only made for this occasion) ... Marc can control what the celebrities wear through his close friend, Rachel Zoe, stylist from Hollywood, she dresses Taylor.
