Royal Wedding Minute: Wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Stephanie de Lannoy!

Royal Wedding Couture

Sweeping Royal Train: Prince and Princess of Luxembourg--Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie de Lannoy

Yesterday was the Wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg to Belgium-born Countess Stephanie de Lannoy. In my last post, I covered the night-before Gala Dinner so now, it's the WEDDING! The tiny Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was all-abuzz with Royal Wedding Fever over these last few days--if not weeks. The boyishly handsome and bearded Guillaume is the last remaining heir-to-the-throne to get married, amongst Euro Royals.

Postcard Royal: Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie de Lannoy

The royals of Europe are that continent's "Hollywood Stars". They really don't "rule" a nation per se, but are mainly there for the PR and to bring Tourism to their respective countries. And yes, they make lots of money for all the Euro tabloids.

So, let's get to the WEDDING and the brides Haute Couture, as well as the guests--with my "Nick Fashion Scores" (Scale of 1-10):

Le Gown: Princess Stephanie's gown was designed by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab. During the previous night's Pre-Wedding Gala Dinner, LOTS of the royals (including the bride and the groom's Grand Duchess Mother) wore Elie Saab Couture. So, it was not a surprise when yesterday for her MOST IMPORTANT DAY, she wore Elie Saab. Count Jehan de Lannoy, her brother, accompanied her to the altar.

Fashion Designer Elie Saab

Princess Perfect: Stephanie in her Elie Saab Haute Couture Custom Wedding Gown--It took 3,200 hours for embroidery from a team
of 15 people and 700 hours from a team of 10 seamstresses. The dress featured three-quarter sleeves, a bateau/boatneck neckline in
the front and dipped in the back, and a belted waist above a full skirt
and 13 foot train.

The Gown DISH: Masses of fabric went into this creation: 76 yards
of silk crepe and tulle for the lining, plus another 33 yards of satin
organza, 55 yards of Chantilly lace, and 44 yards of Calais lace.
More silk tulle was used for the veil. The leafy pattern embellished all
over the ensemble included 50,000 pearls, 80,000 crystals, and almost 11,000 yards of silver embroidery thread. This is why custom wedding gowns--for royals--can cost as much as a small house in LA! And you can guarantee this one above did.

The Gown was inspired by these Elie Saab Hate Couture Gowns above--using similar sequin embroidery, full a-line shaped sweeping skirt silhouette and high neck fronts.

Gorgeous train, superb silhouette, out of control beading and handwork...Wedding Gown perfection. One the BEST Royal--if not just regular wedding gowns I've seen in recent history!

I give her a 10 out of 10 as my Fashion Score.

Peach Chic: Stéphanie was attended by two older bridesmaids, her new sister-in-law
Princess Alexandra and her niece Antonia Hamilton. Both were dressed in
peach/orange dresses from Edouard Vermeulen of Natan

As far as Bridesmaid Dresses, they get a 8.9

Blue Flower Girls and Page Boys: Guillaume’s nephew Prince Gabriel plus a nephew and nieces of
Stéphanie’s made up the orange and blue clad younger party. Orange and blue are the
colors of the House of Nassau, so that is why they are wearing these colors. I think they look quite cute. Very Royal Wedding. Pages and Flower Girl ensemble scores: 10

The Veil and Tiara:

She wore a Lannoy family tiara, made of platinum and diamonds with a
large inverted pear shape diamond in the high center. It was made by
Althenloh of Brussels and was worn by Stéphanie’s sisters and
sisters-in-law at their weddings. So, it is a family wedding tradition.

The Family and Royal Guest Red Carpet:

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg and Prince Guillaume--Maria Teresa wore a coral colored coat and dress with a dramatic draped shoulder "shawl" held with a HUGE diamond brooch. Love her pillbox hat. Everything matched...except the shoes. Do you guys think she should have just gone "full-throttle" and worn matching coral-colored pumps? Or did we like these?

Fashion Score: 9.2

Monaco:

Princess Caroline of Hanover and Hereditary Princess of Monaco: The always-chic Caroline wore Chanel Haute Couture (naturally!). Her bolero and sheath dress was Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010

It was camel colored wool crepe with hand-sewn sequins and beading with pleating detail. Just so you know kids, a Chanel Haute Couture dress/suit ensemble like this can put you back about $30,000-$40,000, especially anything with sequins and hand-sewn oversized jewels.

Score: 9.9

Great Britain:

Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward--The Countess looked quite fab in this printed square-neck dress. The sleek hat with pheasant feathers is from Jane Taylor. The dress hits all the right points: three-quarter sleeves, right-at-knee length, a fitted drop-waist shape highlighted with a solid belt.

Score: 9.0

Spain:

Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain--Letizia wore a light lilac-colored applique coat, solid dress underneath and a wide brim hat, everything matching--color-wise. It was a bit of a Yawn for me. She loves all that applique embroidery, but sometimes--if not done delicately (like the Bride's Wedding Gown), it can come off as dowdy, heavy and dated.

Score: 8.3

Italy:

Prince Emanuele Filiberto and Princess Clotilde of Venice and Piedmont--French Actress Clotilde Courau looks chic in her Elie Saab Ready-to-Wear Fall 2012 Collection suit with 3/4 sleeves, side peplums and attached pencil skirt. This look is perfect for that fashionista girl attending a fab wedding.

Score: 9.6

Sweden:

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland and her husband, Daniel Duke of Västergötland and her very handsome brother (the "Brad Pitt of Euro Royals") Prince Carl Philip of Sweden--I liked Crown Princess Victoria's unusual chappeau, but I though the rest of her look (coat with dress) was rather dowdy and unexciting. It made her look 15 years older than she really is. I think MY MOM has coat just like that.

Score for Victoria: 8.2

Score for her brother Carl Philip: 10 (How do say "Hottie McHottie" in Swedish?)

Denmark:

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Consort Henrik--Queen Margrethe wore a purple long-sleeve suit featuring a very on-trend peplum, below-the-knee skirt, matching belt and matching hat. The pearls, diamond brooch, gray gloves and purse finish the look. She's ultra conservative and appropriate for a Queen, but the peplum tells me there's still a little "Fashion" in her still. But there's something about the whole outfit that looks a bit as if she had gone to a vintage store and found it. The princess seams on her upper torso are so Pattern Book 101. Now, Henrik, God bless him--first, look at his pooch. I love that his jacket fits him perfectly and obviously had to be custom made to fit his not-so-symmetrical body frame.

Queen Margrethe Score:  8.0

Prince Henrik Score: 8.9

Denmark 2.0-- Here are the "New/Young Blood" of Danish Royalty--Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark (Margrethe's heir) and his wife, Australia-born Princess Mary--she chose a maroon dress/suit--again with the on-trend peplum detail, long sleeves, v-neck, at-the-knee pencil skirt--and that great hat. Not sure about this look for her however (minus the hat). The color is too dark and macabre and she looks as if she took no time in really trying to find anything semi-interesting to wear. He looks better--and definitely far more interesting- than she does.

Princess Mary Score: 8.0

Crown Prince Frederik Score: 9.8

Greece:

King Constantine II of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece--Both are always the definition of Style; they could give a lesson in it. Anne-Marie of Denmark wore a lovely boucle coat and matching-color pleated silk dress, belted with a bow-waist tie. She also gets sartorial "Nick Points" for her pill box hat as well.

Score: 9.8

Norway:

King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway--The Queen wore a silvery/lilac suit. Nothing wrong with this ensemble. It's respectable, conservative and non-fashion threatening. It's a nice suit one could find in the "Mother-of-the-Bride" section a very upscale department store.

Score: 8.4

Netherlands:

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands: Three words: You Go Girl. One of the wealthiest monarchs in the World (before Bernie Madoff took a lot of it away!), Queen Beatrix never dissapoints when it comes to her "red carpet" moments. She loves BIG hats, prints, ruffled sleeves...and color. For yesterday's Luxembourg Royal Wedding, she wore a lilac colored jacquard ensemble with a cascade neckline, oversized ruffled-hem sleeves and yes, a BIG OL' Hat. She looks like the fun Grandma who will join you at the bar for some extra whiskey...without even battling an eyelash. PS: loving her gold-toned Ferragamo shoes.

Score: 9.8

Fashion Diva Award Goes To: Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, here with her husband, Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange and Heir to the Dutch throne. Argentina-born Maxima has taken a lesson from her Mother-in-Law Queen Beatrix and has become a Fashion Plate in her own--sometimes outshining the Queen with some of her over-the-top getup's. For the wedding, she certainly wanted to make a statement. It's all very High-Fashion; the UBER tight high-waisted pencil skirt (above the knee--Mon Dieu!); the bell sleeves, the hat with oversized pheasant feathers; the stacked platform pumps.

Score: 9.9

Morocco and Japan:

Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco, Princess Consort to the King of Morocco wore a traditional Moroccan caftan or takchita, in a bright royal blue color with white embroidery.  I think she looked great and I especially love that she's representing her country as a "Style Ambassador" wearing something native to her country.

Score: 9.0

Crown Prince Nahurito of Japan: Nahurito wore a traditional tuxedo with tails--or "Morning Dress" suit. Well done.

Score: 9.5

Nick Appearance Minute: FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012" : The Recap!

San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion" Love:

OMG!!! Nick Verreos and FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012" attendee--and her FIDM "vintage logo" sweatshirt

Last week, I had some very important business meetings (relating to a possible "NV by Nick Verreos" line I have been diligently working on) in NYC. Once I finished the meetings, I got on a plane and flew to one of my other favorite cities in the good ol' US of A: San Francisco! I was scheduled to make a "Nick Visit" as part of my FIDM "3 Days of Fashion 2012" tour at the wonderful Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising San Francisco campus last Wednesday.

Nick Verreos, FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

The weather in SF this past week was GORGEOUS! Warm but not too hot and  very clear (No fog in SF: who knew!?). The FIDM SF campus is located in the heart of Union Square so on my way there--with my trusty NIKOLAKI confidante David Paul (who of course, flew with me!)--it was very difficult to keep away from going into EVERY store to do some retail damage.

Red Carpet in San Francisco: Model Rachael Sitz modeling one of my NIKOLAKI Couture gowns--a lavender silk chiffon hand-beaded sequined column gown

There was no time for that, it was all about my Appearance and showing some of my NIKOLAKI Collection dresses to all the high school students who were in attendance for this final third day of the "3 Days of Fashion".

Welcome Nick: Nick Verreos at FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

Over 100 students plus some of their mom's and dad's greeted me with a wonderful "San Francisco" welcome!! I spoke about my time as a young boy drawing all the stewardess uniforms while traveling on trips with my mom and dad, as well as how I decided to attend FIDM and all that has happened since, including "Project Runway", all my TV Red Carpet Expert work and of course, dressing celebs like Katy Perry, Beyonce and Heidi Klum. Speaking of my NIKOLAKI designs...

Designer and His Fashion: Nick Verreos and model Rachael Sitz in NIKOLAKI Collection silk chiffon column gown with hand-beaded lavender sequins and peek-a-boo top detail and...

Rachael in a raspberry-colored silk-wool ziberline strapless dress with draped bustier and asymmetrical skirt. And by the way, this dress was the same dress worn by Beyonce in her "Best Thing I Never Had" music video.

Auf Wiedersehen? Nick Verreos checking out the "Rock the Runway" finalists, FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

Then, after my "Nick Talk" and NIKOLAKI mini-fashion presentation, it was on to judging the "Rock the Runway" Contest--where "3 Days of Fashion" attendees were told to dress in their most "original" outfits which expressed their most "unique" styles.

Serious Judging: Nick Verreos, Julia Anne Hill and David Paul of NIKOLAKI , "Rock the Runway" Contest, FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

I had the privilege of being one of the judges,--along with my NIKOLAKI design partner David Paul, FIDM Alumna Julia Anne Hill (she's Apparel and Design Director/Social Media Specialist for Clinton Kelly Inc.) and two hand-picked FIDM SF "3 Days of Fashion 2012" attendees. The Contest was SO much fun--not so much fun to judge (it was very, very difficult since they were ALL very good!)--but fun to see all of the students' ensembles!

McQueen'ed: One of our faves was this one young man named Diego Rivera (I know--just like the Mexican painter!)--you can see him in the photo above wearing the denim shirt, McQueen scarf and black Meggings (male leggings). I teased him because he also had FAB accessories including very expensive Hermes "Collier de Chien" cuff and Cartier "Love" bracelet. I wondered (out loud!) who his Sugar Daddy was--and if I could have his phone number??

Nick Verreos poses with the tied finalists in their "Rock the Runway" looks, FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

The Winner:

Colorful Winner: Nick Verreos and co-judge Julia Anne Hill and the two student judges pose with the Winner of the "Rock the Runway" contest--in the middle wearing the apple green hot-shorts and striped sweater--FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

SF Smiles: (Left to right) Nick Verreos, Trudy Noren (FIDM SF College Representative and Special Events), Julia Anne Hill and David Paul, FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

Once again, it was a very successful and fantastic FIDM "3 Days of Fashion" in San Francisco--I had so much fun meeting all the students, their mom's and dad's, judging the contest, as well as showing them my NIKOLAKI designs. I LOVE SF and cannot wait to come back!!!

Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs controls Lady Gaga Jennifer Lawrence and more!!!

Marc Jacobs is a cruel Godfather!
He wants to manipulate the whole fashion world
 and celebrities also.

My name is Angel Barta, I'm writer and fashion designer. Marc Jacobs has been stealing my ideas for 5 years. He fooled me with love and kept me in psychological torture. He is a cruel Godfather behind his funny Sponge Bob Mask.
How can a fashion designer control the world famous celebrities?

Well, in Jacobs' case easily. Do you know why Madonna sings and dances they Jacobs wants her to? Why did Madonna sing a song with Jacobs' fav. singer M.I.A ( who featured in the Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign in 2008)?

Because Jacobs gave her the Louis Vuitton 1 year long contract in 2009. Since then Madonna is grateful for Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs got inked the word " Shameless" on his chest... Even he admits and knows how cruel and shameless he is!

I was wearing my own designed coat in 2011 during Paris Fashion week.
Check out the pics, how he has copied my coat and every single details on my photo since then...

1st. Marc Jacobs copied the concept of my photo for his ad campaign.

2nd. He used my magenta-blue colour combination to design a Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag...

3rd. He not just copied my blue-magenta coat, but also made Lady Gaga wear it
They met in Paris and he talked her into wearing it! By the way he designed that dress for the french brand Comme des Garcons. ( He often wears Comme de Garcons outfits, for example the pink " nightgown" he was wearing at the Louis Vuitton exhibition opening Event. )

Marc Jacobs is wearing a Comme des Garcons nightgown for the sophisticated Louis Vuitton Exhibiton Opening Event.

Marc talked Lady Gaga into getting an Angel inked on her head. It is not enough for Marc Jacobs, that Lady Gaga is wearing my style, the Angel style ( for example the huge bows) he even wanted her to have an Angel tattoo on her head. He wants to control everyone!

Marc Jacobs even designed a Louis Vuitton wheelchair for Gaga.

4th. Jacobs recently copied my colour-combination
for his Marc by Marc Jacobs Resort 2014

I was wearing this coat for the Fashion Week in 2013 March Paris.

He copied my idea ( with the oversize stripped pillows) for his latest 2014 Cruise Marc Jacobs catalog.

Marc Jacobs and Miley Cyrus... another celebrity controlled by the egomaniac MJ.

The latest video clip of Miley the " We Can't Stop" was the idea of Jacobs. He controls Miley too.
Jacobs first copied my highwaisted black shorts for his Winter 2013 Collection...
Miley goes everywhere wearing cropped tops, highwaisted shorts with black thigh-high boots lately.

Marc Jacobs first invited Miley for his fashion show in 2013 February, then made Miley to dress up the same way I did on my photos last summer in 2012.

Miley Cyrus attended a private party held by Marc Jacobs in Savannah, Georgia, on October 14 2010. Miley hit up the party held in honor of Robert Duffy.

Miley with Marc Jacobs' business partner Robert Duffy. She is wearing a Marc Jacobs dress.

Marc Jacobs controls Terry Richardson too. He is the originator behind many of Richardson`s perverse editorials.

Beth Ditto and Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs and Beth Ditto were very good friends from the beginning of her fame. After my book about Marc Jacobs was published, Marc wrote a song about my book and asked Beth Ditto to sing it. Of course she said yes! The title of the song: " I Wrote The Book".

BETH DITTO on the cover of Katie Grand's Love Magazine

Marc Jacobs and Joe Jonas

This was not the only time when MJ wrote a song for a singer. Here is another example.
Joe Jonas, a young american singer, who is as close friends with the designer, that he even lived in Marc' apartment for a couple of months, in New York.( Read more details on Elle.com
Of course Jonas could not say no to Marc when he asked him to sing this song about my love with Marc. Watch the video, it was recorded in Paris, you will see at 2:15, that the girl in the clip is called Angel, like me and at 0:50 the boy writes " Angel" with redlipstick.

Marc Jacobs' power over Kanye West
Marc Jacobs got a Louis Vuitton contract for Kanye a few years ago. Kanye launched a sneakers collection with Louis Vuitton. Kanye's been grateful for Jacobs since then. Jacobs controls Kanye in many ways. It was Marc's idea for Kim Kardashian to wear that Givenchy dress. He wanted to make fun of the pregnant woman at the Met Ball.( Last year everyone was making fun of Jacobs in the lace see-through shirt dress that he was wearing at the Met Ball. ) He even made Kanye steal an old Hungarian song.

It seems that Kanye has had enough of Jacobs power over him. Kanye recently revealed to W magazine that he wrote the humble little ditty after an “unnamed designer” invited him to his show–on the condition that West not attend any other shows that season.
"Cause it’s like, Yo! Nobody can tell me where I can and can’t go,” West lamented in the interview with W, " Man, I’m the number-one living and breathing rock star. I am Axl Rose; I am Jim Morrison. You can’t say that you love music and then say that Kanye West can’t come to your show.( Kanye's problem must be way more than just a fashion show invitation. Jacobs has been controlling him for many years.) via fashionsta.com

And now the question is: Who was the offending designer? Fashionista is assuming it was someone who showed during Paris fashion week (West also mentions a French restaurant in “I Am a God). That's right, someone from Paris.

That unnamed designer is definitely Marc Jacobs.
Kanye used to attend his fashion shows each season. He has not attented any LV Womenswear show for 2 years, he only attends the Mens LV show.In 2011 Kanye wasn't invited to the Louis Vuitton show, details nymag. I suppose they could not agree on MJ's conditions.  By the way this exclusive condition is not new to Jacobs. He usually has some models walk his show with "exclusive condition". So the model can walk ONLY his fashion show (for free), no other fashion shows. The Marc Jacobs runway models are paid in trade ( they can chose a piece of clothing). There was a big scandal in 2012 with Jacobs non-paying his models. I told you, Jacobs is egomaniac.
Marc Jacobs' power over Kanye West, Katie Grand, whose idea was to launch the LOVE Magazine?

Let me unfold a few secret connections between Marc Jacobs, Kanye West and Hungarians. Marc Jacobs not just steals my ideas (and talented artists ideas from my country) for himself but for his friends also. For example his long-time friend Sofia Coppola copied my photos and my style for the Miss Dior Cherie Campaign. Read it here with evidences.

Have you heard that Kanye West recently stole a more than 40 years old Hungarian song?

Kóbor János the singer of Omega claimed he will sue Kanye for sampling Gyönyhajú Lány(The organs from New Slaves) and not crediting them.He already hired an international lawyer to start the confrontation. They can't sue Kanye yet because it was only played on walls and on SNL and it's not official. But if it mades the Album he promised he will step in the ring.
It's funny because the 66 buildings experience was filmed on the singer's 70th birthday.

Many people have identified the sample at use towards the end of the new track that Kanye West premiered on (almost) 66 buildings and Saturday Night Live this past weekend.
The music? A Hungarian band called Omega, who released ”Gyöngyhajú Lány” (translated as The Girl with Pearly Hair) in 1969.
Check Omega above, and listen to that section of "New Slaves" at the three minute mark below.

Anna Dello Russo

It seems that Anna Dello Russo ( editor of Vogue Japan) really liked my coat with the big ribbon. After we met she copied me. The brand of her dress is Nina Ricci! What a coincidence! That dress never was on the catwalk, you could see it only on Anna dello Russo.
Marc Jacobs designed that dress with the help of Katie Grand and Peter Copping.
Peter Copping used to be the right hand of Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton for more then 10 years. In 2009 Marc got him the creative director job at Nina Ricci. This way Marc can control the design team at Nina Ricci too. Peter designes what his supporter wants him to. Marc puts his ex collegues at most of the fashion brands... he wants to control the whole fashion industry.
This is how Marc can copy my ideas for Nina Ricci. The Hungarian models usually walk the NR catwalk.

First Marc copies my designs then spreads it in the whole world... and it becomes a trend.

former designer at Louis Vuitton

Sofia Coppola copied my photo and my style for the Miss Dior Cherie Commercial, click here

Another example...

I was wearing my vintage style Angel Barta high-waisted bikinis on the beach in 2011 and 2012 summer and posted the photos later on facebook... in 2012 summer Taylor Swift was wearing the exact copy of my bikinis ( her bikinis had no brand, it was only made for this occassion)  ... Marc can control what the celebrities wear through his close friend, Rachel Zoe, stylist from Hollywood.

Here is my video in front of the Louis Vuitton Tent during Paris Fashion Week. This is what I feel every season before his shows... knowing that the models are inside fitting the clothes that were originally my ideas... and I.. I have to be standing outside...

Here is my video in front of the Louis Vuitton tent:

Marc Jacobs copied many of photos for Dior campaignes. His ex collegue Camille Micheli is the creative jewelry director at the brand. You can read more about Dior and how they use my ideas, here

Watch me in this video sending a message for Marc Jacobs,
the Thief of The Century!!

I made this video in 2012 summer. I was wearing my own designed stripped Angel Barta dress. In 2012 summer polka dots were the must have trends of the summer. 2 months later Jacobs designed a collection full of stripped outfits... each single outfit was stripped!

Guess, I don't need to explain why you see Cara Delenvigne everywhere lately. Delevingne’s rise to modeling stardom can be tracked back to Marc Jacobs and Katie Grand, who frequently puts Delevingne in (and even on the cover of) her magazine, Love. By the way Kate Moss ( the other woman who is so passionately french kissing Jacobs) is on the cover of the same issue of LOVE Magazine. It was Jacobs' idea to launch the Love Magazine and he put Katie Grand as editor in chief. The models featured in the magazine have to realise all his perverse fantasies in the editorials.

18 years old Lily McMenamy had to walk topless on his latest fashion show in New York. She said Marc told her how to hold her breasts in one hand. Marc did not let her go home until 2.am. Read my article with details: If you want to walk the Marc Jacobs runway, all you have to do is to satisfy his perverse fantasy.
