NICK VERREOS FIDM.....Nick Verreos Appearance at FIDM San Diego "3 Days of Fashion 2016": Blog Recap!

FIDM San Diego 3 Days of Fashion 2016--Nick Verreos Special Appearance

The annual FIDM "3 Days of Fashion" Summer Program began last week and as the Official Spokesperson for the college, I was honored to be a "Special Guest". The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM's "3 Days of Fashion" is an incredible summer program that occurs in all four FIDM campuses including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and San Francisco. During the three days of the program, high school students take draping, sketching and how-to-create-a-promotional campaign workshops, do trend research shopping, be inspired by FIDM graduates, experience the incredible resources and instructors the college has to offer and...

As a bonus, the FIDM "3 Days of Fashion" attendees get to be guests at my Special Appearance and enjoy a special runway presentation of my high-end designs! The first stop on the FIDM 3 Days of Fashion was the FIDM San Diego campus. I love visiting this campus for many reasons including the fact that

A) It's San Diego, one of the cities with the most perfect weather in the US, thank you very much;

B) The FIDM San Diego campus is fabulous, intimate and OMG-Have-You-seen-the-View!? And...

C) I also love visiting because my NIKOLAKI design partner-for-life David Paul is originally from there and so it's a chance for him to visit his family! (and for Uncles Nick and David to use David's niece Emilie as our "assistant"!).

Here is a Blog Photo Recap of my Special Appearance, special "Fashion School with Nick" Lecture + Much More:

RUNWAY REPORT.....Model Ana Cristina--of "Project Runway: Under The Gunn"-- at NY and Paris Fashion Weeks!

Ana Cristina: Model Fab--from "Project Runway: Under The Gunn" to NY and Paris Fashion Weeks

Looking at all the pics from the most recent Paris Fashion Week--as well as NY Fashion Week, I was struck by a familiar face: model Ana Cristina. Where it first hit me was at the most recent Balmain Spring/Summer 2016 show in Paris (I wasn't there but it was just from photos, thank you very much!). But I was like "Wait! I KNOW HER!": Ana Cristina was one of the models on "Project Runway: Under The Gunn"...

Last year on the Reality Competition TV Show "Project Runway Under The Gunn"--which my designer Oscar Lopez won (and I won the "Winning Mentor" title)--one of the gorgeous models used for the show was Ana Cristina who happened to be with Wilhelmina. She modeled for some of my designers during "Under The Gunn" particularly Stephanie Ohnmacht and Natalia Fedner...

Kate Spade Spring 2016

Oh, hello, blog! So nice to meet your acquaintance again. I figure NYFW is the perfect time to jump back in. While I must admit, I have major envy of everyone/everything there, I'll blog from my apartment in Los Angeles and pretend I'm seeing these beautiful clothes IRL in New York. Kate Spade is my favorite for many reasons, one of them being the whimsical, childlike (without looking like something you found in the back of your closet from when you were 12 years old) and utterly delightful designs. I want one of everything. So much pink. So many flowers. So many patterns. I would like to focus on the bags, especially the ice cream truck bag. I MEAN. Could that be any cuter? No. The answer is no. While I'm desperately yearning for Fall, this does have me excited for Spring as well. Le sigh.
YOU GUYS LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS!
Well, this is perfection. Absolute perfection.
Kate Spade bangles are the best bangles.
See what I mean about the flowers?
While I am absolutely obsessed with the ice cream truck bag (and the carousel bag - see below) this is the one bag I could see myself using daily. Preferably in black, but I'll take it!
SEE? THERE IS A SEA HORSE. Ugh.
 OH HONEY.
Give me this coat, or give me death!
Can we talk about the daisy outfit on the left? I can't deal.
Yes, this is a peanut bag. I die. I DIE. Death is upon me. (The coffee has really gone to my head, guys.)
Doesn't this make you want to run off and get a popsicle? Nope? Just me. Okay. Whatever.
