Ok, this is the latest on who is going to be the next Johor MB - nobody.
It was learnt that Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman will have to sit it out for at least another half term. Why? Because suddenly nobody who were pushing for it all these while really seems to want the MB job anymore.
Again, WHY???
Because -
NST in an exclusive front page report by Farrah Naz Karim said relatives and associates of menteris besar and chief ministers may soon be barred from securing projects and tenders from states that the leaders head.
This was said would be reflected in the 2012 Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commmission's indipendant Operations Evaluation Panel's report that would be submitted to the government soon.
If accepted for implementation, it will also affect ministers, deputy ministers, political secretaries, and state executive council members.
In another much simpler words - someone need to be absolutely corrupt free to hold those posts.
No more hanky panky. Period.
Those who want to be, let's says, Johor MB needs to be very clear why they want that post. If it's nothing to do with an aspiration to serve the state and it's people, then just forget about it, ok?
The days when people assume that you are rich simply because you are an MB is over. The cronies and hangers-on need to understand this too. No more selling the MB's name to get projects. No more "special officers", running around making absurd claims that their boss demands these and those...and that includes all those funny characters claiming themselves to be Najib's special officers.
Well, Datuk Ghani, if you are reading this...I feel really sorry for you. I sincerely wish that you can proceed with your retirement plan after the general election, but now I am quite certain you have to stay on a bit longer to make sure the baton is passed to the right person for the job.
Yea, I know you want to pass it to that Darth Vader fella for short term measure....ok, can also....at least he is quite clean and know how to keep all those naughty warlords in line.
Whatever it is, win the election properly first, ok?
