THE MOST BLESSED AND SACRED DAY HAS FINALLY COME AND GONE. The 85th Academy Awards, aka. My favorite day of the year (As previously discussed a million times on the blog/in life.), are over already and boy, oh boy, did we have some great dresses grace the red carpet. Shall we begin?
Amy Adams won my heart for Best Dressed of the Night. She looked more like a princess than ever in this stunning Oscar de la Renta gown. I love me some Oscar de la Renta, this is a fact, so this entire situation has my heart.
Jennifer Lawrence was my second favorite for Best Dressed of the Night. This Dior gown was FANTASTIC. I mean, it was everything I love. It was huge and so wonderful. I mean, yes, my future BFF did trip walking up the stairs to accept her Oscar statue for Best Actress, but if anyone was going to trip and embarrass themselves on national television, it would be her. This is how I know we are soulmates.
Jessica Chastain finally wore something flattering and pretty! This Armani Prive gown was just really quite gorgeous. And don't get me started on her hair and makeup, because that was flawless all around.
Samantha Barks was seriously overlooked by all the awards shows, I think. She seriously stole the show in "Les Miserables." She was all I could stare at. Her face, her tiny little waist, etc. She's great. This dress is also so great.
Someone decided to invite Kristen Stewart to present. Now, my best friend and I watched the awards show in an hour (Instead of 5) so we missed a whole bunch of the nonsense from Seth MacFarlane, KStew, etc. so I'm not sure how she did, but either way I don't love it. I do, however, love her Reem Acra gown. It's stunning. I feel bad for her though because she did have to use crutches on the red carpet. So sad.
I am still quite obsessed with Kerry Washington's fashion choices as of late and I really quite like this Miu Miu gown. It's so pretty and I heart gown trains.
So, I like the top of Zoe Saldana's Alexis Mabille Couture gown, but I kind of really dislike the bottom. The ombre gray situation happening is not my favorite. But the top, the top is so pretty!
Jennifer Hudson's body looks bangin', but she looks like an Avatar in this Roberto Cavalli gown.
I am very disappointed in Jennifer Aniston and her hair. She generally has impeccable hair, but oh no, not last night. It was all over the place and I'm not having it one bit. Her gown was alright, it was kind of wrinkled and I think she should've worn at least one or two pieces of jewelry to spruce it up. It seems like a general missed opportunity.
Naomi Watts looked like a gorgeous alien in this Armani Prive gown. I didn't like it at first, but now it's weirdly growing on me and I'm totally okay with it actually.
Charlize Theron looked like a grown up Miley Cyrus on the red carpet. I think I like her Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. I mean, I think I do? I'm not super excited about it.
I DON'T KNOW WHY NICOLE KIDMAN WAS THERE. Ha ha I mean, I never know why Nicole Kidman is there, you guys. I don't. Only I do this time because she was a presenter. Now, her L'Wren Scott dress. It's interesting. I don't like the belt, mostly. It's just too much, I don't know what to focus on. I'm hoping it just doesn't photograph well? But I'll give it to her because she actually looks so great. I'm proud of her.
Halle Berry wore some type of Beetlejuice looking Versace gown. Nope. Nope. Nopers.
Jellyfish Garner. I mean, Jennifer Garner. She looked gorgeous in this jellyfish-esque Gucci gown. I mean, it's similar to something she's worn before, but I still love it. Also, her hair and makeup is flawless. And watching her tear up in her seat while her hubby, Ben Affleck, accepted the Oscar for Best Picture "Argo" (Which, by the way, was such a freaking good movie) was tugging on my heart strings. I adore it.

So, I adore Reese Witherspoon, but I don't love this Louis Vuitton gown. She is way too tiny and there is just way too much fabric for such a tiny body. You know? Of course.
Anne Hathaway is really annoying me as of late. But that's besides the point. Her Prada gown was not great. The darts, aka. Dress nipples, were so distracting, it's all I was paying attention to. But, on a more positive and optimistic note, her hair is growing back nicely, her jewelry was gorgeous and her Ryan Gosling look alike husband is still really attractive. So, you know, there's that.I am very disappointed in Jennifer Aniston and her hair. She generally has impeccable hair, but oh no, not last night.
