Round Up on the Fall/Winter 2014 Trends
I should admit, its not easy keeping up with all the fashion weeks around the world, but I must thank the Lord for internet and live streaming! I’ve summed up the trends for the coming Fall/Winter 2014 season below. Speaking in general, everything shown during fashion week was wearable, sophisticated, and mostly derived from last season’s trends.STRIPES:
POLKA DOTS:
WINTER BLOOMS:
HOUND’S TOOTH:
TARTANS:
CAPES:
The cape was, still is, and will continue to be big on the runways.
ONE SLEEVE:
The one-sleeve trend is back! Emphasize one bulky sleeve while you show off skin on the other shoulder.
FUR COLLARS:
The bigger the better! Instead of scarves and wraps, fur collars and fur throws are the “it” thing next fall.
MATCHY MATCHY:
Last season’s printed suit has evolved into any matching two pieces, top+skirt, top+trouser, top+skirt, etc..
FLOOR-LENGTH COATS:
This is very noble! Coat lengths have been extended all the way down- now you’re guaranteed to stay warm in winter.
LONG-SLEEVED GOWNS:
More is definitely more! The more conservative the gown, the sexier it is since any slit, low neckline, or any peep will become highly emphasized.
JACKET + GOWN:
For an edgier take on floor-length gowns, add a contrasting type of jacket to add character to your outfit.
SHOES WITH TONGUE:
This little extra piece of leather than extends upward makes a big difference- it makes the foot look smaller and adds a whole lot of style to your outfit.
KNEE-LENTH, SKIN-TIGHT:
Whether its skin-tight boots that reach the knees or just long socks, models were well covered-up. You can pull this trend off even if you’re wearing a skirt/dress that spill over the boots/socks.
