Grown-up fashion in Harper's Bazaar

I love what editor Justine Picardie is doing with Harper's Bazaar magazine. The September issue has a brilliant shoot called Icons by Carine Roitfeld with lots of my favourite models including: Lauren Hutton, Iman and Carolyn Murphy, as well as actors, singers and other stars like; Monica Belluci, Penelope Cruz and Lady Gaga. There's also a feature on grown-up fashion written by Lydia Slater (unfortunately it's not online), which says that 'gone are the days when women wanted to look like teenagers- finally the fashion industry has recognised the strength of adult buying power.' All my favourite icons are here too: Ines de la Fressange, Tilda Swinton, Christine Lagarde and there's a lovely quote from Ruth Chapman the co-founder of Matches,' We are finally learning to admire wisdom. The women we look up to aren't young. They have wrinkles and often have grey hair, and they still look great, they have fun. There's something really attractive about a woman who's comfortable in her age and skin.'

Hoorah!
