I bloody love Jo Pavey. She's now the oldest woman to win a gold medal at the European Athletics Championships, although at nearly-41, she seems quite young to me. The 10,000m champion made her national debut aged 23 and after an injury-plagued career, years of perseverance and determination finally paid off this week. Pavey has two young children (her daughter Emily is just 11-months-old), bags of stamina and a fabulous attitude; after finishing the 5000m final empty-handed, she just smiled and said, 'It's a pleasure to share the track with the next generation of athletes coming through.'
What a brilliant role model. Can't wait to see her at the Olympics in Rio.
