I keep seeing this oyster silk lamé dress - and wondering. The shimmery fabric, the bodice shape, the sleeves; all very lovely but the midi length bothers me. Will this say Merry Christmas or Miss Havisham? Definitely a 'try it on and see' number, because as we all know, there's a fine line between glamourpuss and look what the cat's dragged in.
The final, final edit of the book has been done. The cover was approved yesterday. Can't believe it's over (well, at least for the time being). Being a grown-up lady author and a university lecturer and keeping That's Not My Age ticking over has been a right old slog. It's been a very long autumn term and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to Christmas.
