A friendly reminder that you can decide to change the direction of your life at any moment, disguised as casual Friday outfit inspiration.

I'm a big believer in a lot of things: that time invested into your mind, body and soul is always time well spent, astrology and moon energies, the power of music, the fact that cats will always be my favourite, and that I will achieve anything and everything I want.
Which brings me to something I'm sure you've heard before, but I'll say again. It's never too late to change who you are, where you're going, who you're friends with, what you want to be, your job, your hair, your personality, style, situation etc. etc. You control your life, and please believe with everything you have that you can achieve anything you want, but also march ahead and start something. I've grown up around a lot of people who have wanted to start this and that, go here and there, but always lacked that first step that would lead them to the rest of their lives.
"All it takes" is a change in mindset, and the rest follows.. and that's in quotation marks because I know things are easier said than done, but think of it this way: what fun is there in always waiting for 5pm? For Friday? We wish our days away to get to the weekend, and then are baffled at the years passing us by, when we should be practicing gratitude for what we have in order to be able to accept all the incredible new things that are coming our way.
I love reading empowering books, articles and quotes, and listening to mind-blowing speeches and audiobooks - and if that is what keeps you inspired and determined too, then read and listen to more of them until it's ingrained into your mind. I cannot recommend "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne enough, or Notes From The Universe - which are short, sweet, witty and other-worldly emails popping up in your inbox every weeknight from TUT.com (by Mike Dooley). You enter a few goals when you first sign up, and they're sneakily sprinkled throughout emails every now and then and spoken about in present tense - cue a huge grin spreading, your heart pounding, and ego inflating (for the better) as you start shouting "YES. I AM CAPABLE OF FANTASTIC THINGS."
I hope this has been a little source of encouragement whether you've had a bad day, week, month, year - or if you've just seen your positivity and motivation slowly diminish into the depths without a warning. Remember, you control yourself and your life, and we are all here rooting for you to be the best person you can be.

"You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. That’s a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control." - Elizabeth Gilbert
It starts with the mind. Do everything you can right now with what you already have, and don't let anything stop you or get in your way. Know that everything you want to achieve is already yours and the Universe will move to make it happen for you.I love reading empowering books, articles and quotes, and listening to mind-blowing speeches and audiobooks - and if that is what keeps you inspired and determined too, then read and listen to more of them until it's ingrained into your mind.
