Shirt dresses
The best part about styling this classic dress is that it flatters every body type and is effortlessly wearable. Nothing is better than being able to toss on a minimal piece and look put together without a lot of fuss. The Shirt dress is a must-have piece that you can easily incorporate into your wardrobe for an effortlessly clean and sleek look. The Shirt Dress is simple, comfortable, and cute and was seen all over the Spring/Summer 2015 runway.
In a nutshell: like a dress. Having said that, it’s the shoes usually which set the tone of the outfit, and perhaps even the shirt’s cut, fabric and design.
The shirt dress comes in different silhouettes like straight A-line bodices, low waists with sleeveless, short sleeve and long sleeve styles and some shirt dresses even include graphics, fabric blocking designs and subtle prints for every style and taste, the options are endless.
The important thing to remember is that the shorter the hem line, the lower your heels should be since the dress naturally elongates your legs.
You can wear it cinged at the waist with a belt (thin belts are always better in my opinion). Or, you can leave it un-belted for a more sophisticated effortless vibe of the whole look.
Tips: roll up your sleeves. Wear thin layered necklaces or a massive bracelet to give it that fashion forward look. Look for ways to accessorize the blank canvas.
