BALMAIN X H&M : looks, prices & global runway debut

This year, 5th November marks a more trivial event than the Gunpowder plot:

the Balmain collection for H&M is hitting stores and digital shelves!

Satin, embroidery, beading and skintight tailoring are Olivier Rousteing's signatures and details that fans of the brand will find in its upcoming collaboration with the Swedes.

In Rousteing's words, this collection "capture the confidence, sexiness, and power of the house. When you wear the clothes, you’re going to feel powerful and strong."

Many of the looks are re-creations or reimaginings of Balmain runway looks, and Rousteing wanted to make his most famous pieces for his followers.

We're sorry to say it, but there will be pieces in the Balmain x H&M collection that won't be very purse-friendly.
Case in point: this 'limited edition' embellished dress worn by Gigi Hadid to a NYFW party.

Price tag? $ 649.

#Ouch.

Given the disappointment of our beloved MsD at Balmain Fall campaign for its main line, we truly hope that this collaboration will not end up in our Reality Check column (again).

There are just a couple of weeks to go until the collection goes on sale, so it's time to get your shopping list sorted: whether you're a boy or a girl, be prepared to queue outside the shops or to stalk the e-commerce and choose which pieces you want in advance.
