If you know me well, you know that almost all of my go-to beauty looks will begin with a flawless complexion ;) One of my favourite foundation to use, especially during warmer days, is the Foundation serum from e.l.f. When it comes to makeup brushes, the whole dilemma these days is about natural hair vs. synthetic. I'm definitely thinking about researching this topic more in depth for you guys, and build a story around it for our Holiday lineup this month, but, in the meantime, here's what I think from a personal experience trying out both: natural hair brushes are ideal to apply powder formulas, if you want to achieve that seamless, flawless, velvety look. I'm not really a big fan of creamy formulas when it comes to sculpting and contouring my face; I simply find that powders are more versatile and easier to use on a day-to-day basis. But lately, I've really been into e.l.f. Cosmetics blush/bronzer duo in creams that give my skin a very sheer, natural wash of colour I am obsessed with ! The technology behind the formula uses a cream-to-powder solution that provides and extended wear and allows you to build-up the colours for desired intensity.
This makeup setting mist probably is my favourite on the market right now ! It is very easy to use; the diffuser sprays evenly and the formula is non-sticky and very lightweight, It helps improve makeup wearability and prevent color from running or fading, a total must-have for any busy girl out there ;)
When I'm rocking a bold coloured pout, there is a good chance a lip liner has been involved in the process to achieve more of a bitten lip look ;) And sometimes, I even use the liner on my entire lips instead of a lipstick, when I'm having a hard time finding an appropriate match for one another. The idea actually came to me when I tried out e.l.f. One of the most important steps (if not THE most important step!) of my daily skin care routine is the makeup removing part. Not everyone is aware of the fact that a skin cleanser simply cannot get rid of all of your makeup, even if you're wearing as little as just some mascara and a little concealer here and there. If you put on makeup in the morning, you MUST take it off using a proper makeup remover otherwise, you will end up clogging your pores, drying out your skin excessively and contributing to the formation of pimples, blemishes or even acne !
