DAKOTA JOHNSON IN GUCCI: Can we talk about it?

Her breakthrough performance in the global hit movie Fifty Shades of Grey, has turned Dakota Johnson into a real household name. Usually when this happens the spectrum of designer clothes that you can possibly wear gets definitely wider, and Dakota has worn almost the entire alphabet: Armani Privè, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, McQueen, Prada, Saint Laurent...seriously I could go on the entire day!
Definitely brave (and lucky) I would say.
Her last apperence managed to catch the fashion court's attention, as she stooped by "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" wearing a one of a kind Gucci dress.

As you know Gucci's aesthetics went through a deep make over since Alessandro Michele was nominated the new creative director of the house: Michele has distanced himself from the brand's typical uber sophisticated creations, to impose his new geeky and vintage-like vision.
And Dakota seems to be a fan of him, since she wore several looks from his latest collections, and this floaty rose pink number from Gucci spring 2016 collection is no exception.

I bet your attention goes straight to the embellished collar and bow: MsD's opinion on the dress was "too costumy", and I totally get her point. However Gucci's latest creations catch my attention like good horror movies: strange to the bone, but some how nice.

With a new movie coming out next month, "How to Be Single" (US release date February 12; Italy February 11), I am curious to see if Dakota is going to select another Gucci piece for the premiere.
