Thursday 22nd June
There are two pizza shops in our small town, Mother Dough and Double Zero, but when it comes to lunch the prior isn't always open, while Zero is. Almost takeaway only, (and why wouldn't you get takeaway when there's a lovely park a couple stops away on the tram? ) there's always a line during lunch, it goes pretty quick though.
The slices are huge! Served very hot, steaming, as they're warmed up in the oven after you make your selection. Thin base as almost all pizzas are, they were very good, not too dry or hard. Saucy toppings the mushroom one was the one I preferred.
For $10 you can get two huge square slices and a drink. Note - If you don't eat pork there isn't many options. They're open for dinner too, but it's only during lunch when you can buy a slice or two.
A Friday in July
We did come back again during moving... but the pizza wasn't quite the same. It was dry... the peas one was dry, the margarita was good though.
After two tries we had a hit and a miss. For a slicery I've happy though, it's also the only place in town you can get lunch for $10 (unless you wanted sushi).
Mother Dough does pizzas too for lunch, their lunch menu is $15 and it's more of an eat in style. I haven't tried their lunch pizza specials, but we went to a party there and it was super cheesy and you'd need a knife and fork. It's very different, and comes down to what you prefer.
My favourite pizza place? If you drive Zesty is up the street up the hill towards Glenferrie, only open for dinner though, you can't buy just a slice.
$5 slices for lunch or $10 for two slices and a coke/water.
With very friendly service my neighbour is a regular.

There's litterally two tables out front.
Six choices - unless you're vegetarian/don't eat pork. The toppings do change.
I love the colors on this one, it's not often you see a fresh green on pizza.
You can request extra sauce on top.

The mushroom and pancetta.
