Jin Goo Reveals Why He Changed His Fashion Style After (Descendants Of The Sun)

On November 25, “Untouchable” actors Jin Goo and Go Jun Hee made a rare variety show appearance on the JTBC show “Ask Us Anything.”

On the show, Jin Goo bonded with Seo Jang Hoon over his love of basketball and revealed how his life changed after the popularity of “Descendants of the Sun.” He shared that a fan had once told him he needed to wear uniforms in dramas from now for those shows to do well and said, “In ‘Untouchable,’ I play a detective and I don’t really wear a particular uniform so some of my fans were concerned.”

He added later, “I really liked wearing military-style clothes in my personal style, but after filming “Descendants of the Sun,” I got a little embarrassed [to wear that]. In case people thought I was trying too hard [to get recognized].”

The 11 Fashion Coffee Table Books That Make the Best Gifts

One of the signs of adulting? When your coffee tablescape has graduated from serving as a catch-all space for remote controls, stacks of unanswered letters, and other random knickknacks to something that's subject to home-decor envy on Pinterest. It looks like a clean minimalist slate with a nicely curated and culturally diverse selection of coffee table books. And maybe a cool, modern vase to hold a bouquet of flowers or marbles—or something. But we digress.

The point is that we all reach that stage at some point, and that's when our appreciation for these spectacular tomes increases, like, tenfold. So we did you a solid and rounded up the 11 best newly released coffee table books that are substantial in both weight and in content, and that make the ultimate gifts. Shop our library of picks, below, and then put a ribbon on it.

Grecian Goddesses

Part of the infamous Victoria Secret Fashion was inspired by Greek and Roman Goddesses.

Looking more like a Las Vegas Review, the Angels came out in a glamorous costume display of golden wings and sheer togas.

Kendall Jenner Just Beat This Brazilian Bombshell to Become the World’s Highest Paid Model

As much as being a supermodel is about working with the right designers and building an impressive portfolio, it’s also about turning a profit. When it comes to the biggest stars, the business of being beautiful can be incredibly lucrative, especially for household names like Gisele Bündchen and Kendall Jenner, who lead the pack on Forbes’s newly announced ranking of 2017’s top-earning models. Though the list itself yielded few surprises—Victoria’s Secret Angels, Insta girls, and other headline-making stars all feature—Jenner unseating Bündchen for the top spot was unexpected. Bündchen has held the title every year since the list began in 2002, but Jenner’s reported $22 million figure from the last 12 months—thanks to the combined earnings from her reality show, cosmetics contracts, and endorsements—helped to push her over the edge.

As jaw-dropping as the numbers seem, Jenner and Bündchen’s actual salaries may not match the estimates. While there is no doubt that all the superstars featured on Forbes’s list make millions, the accuracy of the math involved has been the subject of debate. In the past, Bündchen has criticized the publication for inflating her income and subsequently drawing the attention of the IRS. Getting audited shortly after being named highest-earning model in the world, Bündchen told Brazilian blog MdeMulher at the time that her reported income was inaccurate and the attention she received as a result was largely negative. “It’s sad because the people who write these things don’t have my bank account details,” shared Bündchen. “I do okay, I earn plenty, but not as much as they say. I’ve already been audited by the IRS because of this list, and, truthfully, whether I’m on this list or not doesn’t interest me.”

As amusing as it is to chart the upward progression of celebrity incomes, the speculation has its downside. Getting audited isn’t exactly glamorous and according to Bündchen, the focus on the financials doesn’t take into consideration all she is beyond her bank account. “I’ve got the same interests, the same day-to-day life, as any woman. I want to raise my children well, be a good wife, and work. This is what I value: Are my children educated, is my husband happy, are people feeling positive energy from me?” said Bündchen, who wishes the media would talk about less tangible qualities like relevance, intelligence, and personality. “There should be a magazine to quantify knowledge, understanding, and love for people: That is power.” Whether or not Jenner went home with $22 million in the bank or not, it’s clear she’s done well for herself. Being the highest-paid model is nice, but the real accomplishment comes from what you do with all the attention.

Moschino’s Flower Women Are the Latest in a Decades-Long Fashion Trend

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking, I know. But what about flower women? At Moschino’s Spring 2018 show, Jeremy Scott dressed Gigi Hadid, Anna Cleveland, Joan Smalls, and Kaia Gerber as actual flowers and floral bouquets.

It was a Surrealist turn that nodded to Franco Moschino’s history of kitsch perversions, but also to some of fashion’s greatest creatives. Look as far back as 1982, and you’ll see that—in addition to bugs, butterflies, and motorcycles—Thierry Mugler dressed his models as painted roses, complete with dragonflies on their heads.

In more recent fashion history, John Galliano transformed Viviane Orth into a carnation and Michelle Alves into an orchid for Christian Dior’s Fall 2010 couture show. (It was Monsieur Dior, after all, who came up with the femme-fleur silhouette, though he never went as far as to dress models as actual flowers.) Alexander McQueen made Tanya Dziahileva into a proper bouquet for his Spring 2007 show, while Christian Lacroix sent out several interpretations of flower ensembles in his Spring 2007 couture collection.

Rather than flowers, Jean Paul Gaultier focused on leaves for his Spring 2002 collection that saw an ivy-covered dress walk down the runway. Still, few flower femmes are as iconic as Laetitia Casta’s turn as an Eve-like bride at Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring 1999 runway show. Clad in a rose-embellished bikini, flower crown, and pink train, she was a bridal vision unlike any other.

Gucci Launches Eccentric Resort 2018 Collection

As a fashion house with high artistic value, Gucci collection design always comes with detail, embroidery, ornaments, and rich in texture. Alessandro Michele, Creative Director Gucci always succeeded in presenting the values in tune with the collection and runway place.

Call it a collection of Gucci Resort 2018, Alessandro deliberately chose the Pitti Palace, Florence, Italy that represents the beauty of the Renaissance. Of course this is in line with the theme that carried the fashion brand. In addition, Alessandro deliberately designed benches decorated with poems by Bacchus 'Song by Lorenzo de' Medici to increase his artistic value.

Reported by Vogue, this fashion show is also backed by a harp music game that is in seven different rooms. This installation is in harmony with the nuanced collection of flora and fauna that characterize the Renaissance era. Print roses that look natural not only found in dress and female tops, but also for men.

The touch of the Renaissance was increasingly felt with a headdress in the form of gold leaf with a very thick with the history of that period. Even some models use accessories on the hands and faces to make it look artistic.

Meanwhile WWD released, singer Fransesco Bianconi also walked on the runway using a tapestry suit combined with red roses. In addition to flowers, long-haired man is also decorated Gucci collection with a dragon motif on the front of the clothing.

Fransesco also appeared eccentric with jogging pants, ruffle tops and bright burgundy matelassé mantles. He also did not hesitate mengumbar Gucci logo on midi skirt, men's trousers, bomber jacket, and fur.

Despite spending 200,000 euros in renting Pitti Palace, Gucci successfully brings his brand back to his hometown as well as cultural roots in Florence. Gucci also plans to donate 2 million euros within three years in order to restore the Boboli park as part of the 'Primavera di Boboli' cultural project. This fashion show was also attended by Sir Elton John, Beth Ditto, Kirsten Dunst, Dev Hynes, Dakota Johnson, and Soko. (Aulia DH)
