See All the Celebrities Sitting Front Row at London Fashion Week

As soon as the last model hit the runway at Marc Jacobs's fall 2018 New York Fashion Week show, editors and fashion insiders flocked to London for the next wave of looks that'll capture your attention.

But first, who's sitting in the front row? Mulberry kicked off London Fashion Week on Friday in a posh way with celebrities like Emma Roberts and Jourdan Dunn playing witness to designer Johnny Coca's latest collection, which came with a full-on live performance by British singer Alison Goldfrapp. So what else can we expect to go down in the days ahead? Design houses we for sure know will draw out an A-list crowd include J.W. Anderson, Burberry, Simone Rocha, Mary Katrantzou, and Erdem.

Fashion Shows Fall 2017 Couture Jean Paul Gaultier

I was sitting in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a friend whooped it up in Klosters, and not so far away there was Val d’Isère. Except that none of us were really in those jet set–y ski destinations, which always sound like the kind of places where Roger Moore–era 007 (may he rest in peace) would have dispatched a cat-stroking nemesis. Rather more prosaically, we were in seating sections named after those resorts in the ever-so-slightly stifling heat of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Rue Saint-Martin studio, awaiting his Couture show to start.

Never let it be said that Gaultier doesn’t love a theme. Some of his most monumental collections of the past were worked to very specific ones, indeed—be it tribal tattooing and fetish piercing, or the clothing worn for religious observance by Orthodox Jews. This time it was ski culture, focusing on the glamazon on the chairlift, and the bejeweled and bedazzled snow bunny. Even before the show started, it was plainly evident, what with Gaultier’s program displaying his old-school penchant for naming each look with a suitably saucy wink: Gstaad the Way It Is, L’Avalanche, What You Looping At, et cetera.

Jokes, as we all know, can be a potent vehicle for something deeper, and so they were here: Humor in the service of heightening the sincere commitment of Gaultier to his couture—I Look Like I Don’t Take It Seriously But Really I Do! For all of the campy excess on his runway, glance to the balcony above and you can see his atelier gathered together to view their (oftentimes very impressive) handiwork. And for every RuPaul’s Drag Race quip (one look was dubbed “Sasha Velours”) there were some exquisite pieces that riffed on Gaultier’s iconic moments, but look just as good now: the slouchy cardigan jacket embellished with blue and white Fair Isle patterns created out of pearls, say, or the fairly abbreviated Aran sweater dress crafted from mousseline ribbons.

Tailoring, as usual, took center stage. There was the off-kilter bias cutting of his le smoking, or a camel coat deconstructed to slip-slide with a swoosh across an ivory knit body, both looks being pretty darn chic. That’s a phrase one usually wants to avoid like a skier hitting glassy ice when discussing a runway show, but in this case, it’s entirely appropriate.

WIN 2 Tickets To Notte By Marchesa At LFWE

Notte by Marchesa is available at Net-A-Porter

Well HELLO there strangers! How are you all doing? First day back on UK soil and I have to say there's something in the air . . . maybe it's LONDON FASHION WEEK I see lurking round the corner?! Whilst myself and many others, both in person and virtually will be checking into the shows, street style and fun that fashion week holds, there's another occasion which one and ALL can join in with - London Fashion Weekend. When I was a fashion mad, magazine GEEK of a teenager my Mum, and later my Dad (yes we roped him in too), sister and I used to attend London Fashion Weekend religiously season after season - a little window in to the magical work of the full on Fashion Weeks. LFWE has evolved since the sample sale-esque guise it once held, into an educational, stylish, inspiring occasion all of its own. The official blurb (because they always sum it up best) now reads:

"For four days, the magnificent Somerset House plays host to Britain’s biggest biannual consumer fashion showcase. Vodafone London Fashion Weekend is your chance to experience first-hand insider knowledge and style advice from London Fashion Week’s most famous British brands. Expect designer shopping, catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair & beauty and educational panels from leading industry experts."

And here's the GREAT news - those catwalk shows they mention? Yep YOU can go to them. And better than that even, I have two tickets to give away to the Notte by Marchesa show.

I KNOW. SO. EXCITING.

In order to be in with a chance of winning the tickets, simply drop me an e-mail between now and midnight on Sunday September 14th (GMT) stating your interest, and I'll select a winner at random. The tickets are for Saturday September 20th, at Somerset House, London. The winner must be able to make their own way to the occasion. Entry is from 1.30pm and from then on you'll have access to London Fashion Weekend for the whole day! What a WIN.

I'll be at the show too, so hopefully I'll get to see some of your gorgeous faces.

This evening I am so looking forward to catching up with Ols and friends - I have been a laptop cyborg all day.

Have an awesome evening all!

Love,

P.S. I can't wait to share all of my Menorca pics and news with you guys; I'm hoping I'll get to before LFW. In the mean time, there are some sunny snaps right here

Who started the whole gossip between Justin Bieber and Barbara Palvin?

You want to know who is the brain behind this drama between Selena and Justin?

Well, first let me introduce you Barbara Palvin, a 19 year old Hungarian model, whose carrier started in 2010, at the age of 16, when Marc Jacobs started to support her. You might not know yet, that she is actually 3 inch shorter than the minimum model height. On her setcards they dont say it, of course.

Marc Jacobs and Katie Grand casted her to all of their fashion shows: Prada,Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Giles, Louis Vuitton.
She worked only in magazines where Katie Grand has connects, like Love, Jalouse, L'Officiel.
She said in many interviews that Katie Grand helped her a lot, when she casted her to all the shows.

She walked on the Vuitton show as a completely beginner, in 2010. Although there were only supermodels in that show. You can see how short she actually is.

Katie Grand with Marc Jacobs, they've been working together for more decades
Why is this scandal between Palvin and Bieber good for Marc Jacobs?
Because, Marc Jacobs wants to use the fame and popularity of Justin to make Barbara more famous.
You might ask now, why is it worth for an american fashion designer, Marc Jacobs to support a short Hungarian model, when there are so many tall models in the world?
Marc Jacobs with Angel Barta
Well, the real drama is here...
Marc Jacobs is obsessed with another young Hungarian girl, called Angel Barta. He has been torturing her for 5 years.
How and why does he torture Angel, the hungarian girl?
Well, Angel is a fashion designer, who wanted to became a topmodel, when she was 16 years old. She met Marc Jacobs in Paris in 2008. Marc noticed Angel's unique style and talent for fashion design at the first moment. He decided he would use Angel's talent for himself and he would became more successfull than ever. He wanted to keep her in a secret and hide from the fashion world where got all this new ideas and inspirations... so he started to fool Angel with love promises, and telling her he would make a topmodel out of her, just give him fashion designs and love.
Angel fell in love with him and believed him for 2 years... but MJ still has not helped her he just continiously designed her ideas under his own name. He became obsessed with the girl.
The girl wanted Marc to leave her alone. So she wrote a 480 pages long book about their relationship. It was published in 2010.
After MJ read the book, as a revenge he gave all of Angel's dreams to Barbara Palvin, another girl from her country.
Marc Jacobs started to pressure Angel by putting Barbara in magazines, campaigns, in the poses of Angel. The model had to act like Angel in the editorials.
Marc said: " I will support Barbara as long as you don't stop to want to became a fashion designer!"
Why Marc doesn't want Angel to became a fashion designer?
Because it is a very good business for MJ to design the ideas of the young, talented girl for many brands.
He has been torturing Angel for 5 years, meanwhile he enjoys life. He does everything to ignore Angel's person from the fashion world. She can't get a job as a designer, because Marc Jacobs doesn't let her to.
He won many international awards after he started to use her ideas, even a "Half-life-time achievement Award"
You want to know what will be the next gossip Marc Jacobs will use for Barbara's carrier?...
You can already see the fake photo about the next victim of Barbara on her facebook...
