Last week, I had the pleasure of being back on the EVINE Live TV Shopping Network with my NV Nick Verreos line. And boy, did I have a BLAST! Oh and yes, we SOLD OUT of a lot of styles! I did two full hours with the EVINE Hostess-With-The-Mostess, the gorgeous Wendi Russo. The reason for me being on--besides the fact that I just LOVE being there!--was also that it was a MAJOR SALE EXTRAVAGANZA!

Oh, and then to add to the excitement, I almost fainted on the stage when they said that they had a caller and it was my beautiful friend, Brook Lee, Miss Universe 1997! A Miss Universe called in...to EVINE! #Fainted .

 Ciao Italia! Nick Verreos Hosts Moda Musa Fashion Show THIS Sunday, October 18th as part of Santa Monica's "Ciao Italia" Month-long Festivities

I'm so excited to be hosting a fabulous fashion show event THIS upcoming Sunday, October 18th at the Santa Monica Place: The "Ciao Italia" MODA MUSA Fashion Show at the Santa Monica Place. The city of Santa Monica California is having a month-long celebration of ITALY entitled "Ciao Italia"--ending on October 31st--Ciao Italia Santa Monica promises to be one of the most pervasive celebrations of Italy on the West Coast—reaching the many people who love things Italian in Southern California and beyond. Events will include a Fashion Show, Wine & Cheese event, Outdoor Film Screening, and the best of Italy's food and wine.

Santa Monica Place Shopping Center will host Italian and Italian inspired fashion in its center plaza. From runways and designer shows, to city streets and suburban neighborhoods, Italian inspired fashion can be seen everywhere.



I was SUPER EXCITED when I was asked to host the CIAO ITALIA "Moda Musa" Fashion Show...

I have had a LOVE for Italy my entire life and have been honored in the past to participate in a Seminar/Lecture in Florence Italy through a U.S.-based University's "Summer In Italy" Study Abroad Program, and even showed my NIKOLAKI high-end designer gowns and dresses at a special fashion show in Firenze. Along with my partner David, I have also had the privilege of spending several holidays in the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Capri. And those beyond-gorgeous locales have served as inspirations for many of my NIKOLAKI as well as NV Nick Verreos collections. 

Needless to say, I'm beyond happy to be part of this Ciao Italia Santa Monica "Homage to Italy" month...

The Final Live Style Off!!!

Alright kids, THIS IS IT: The Final Live Style Off of "Project Style" at South Bay Galleria is THIS SATURDAY!!! Many, many budding stylistas/trendsetters from the Southern California area have been submitting videos of themselves in a fantastic outfit they styled on their very own; many voted for the Top Five and now is the Final Live Style Off. Project Style is a great contest organized by Forest City Malls across the country.

The ever-so-fabulous Style Network's Jeannie Mai and I are this year's Project Style Spokespersons and for this Saturday's Live Style Off, we will BOTH be there as the Hosts With The Mosts! We will not only host but also be judges (SO EXCITED!!). This is my THIRD YEAR hosting "Project Style" at South Bay Galleria and I am BEYOND thrilled to be coming back! Every year it gets bigger and better--and the crowds are always AMAZING!

Last week, I had some very important business meetings (relating to a possible "NV by Nick Verreos" line I have been diligently working on) in NYC. Once I finished the meetings, I got on a plane and flew to one of my other favorite cities in the good ol' US of A: San Francisco! I was scheduled to make a "Nick Visit" as part of my FIDM "3 Days of Fashion 2012" tour at the wonderful Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising San Francisco campus last Wednesday.

The weather in SF this past week was GORGEOUS! Warm but not too hot and  very clear (No fog in SF: who knew!?). The FIDM SF campus is located in the heart of Union Square so on my way there--with my trusty NIKOLAKI confidante David Paul (who of course, flew with me!)--it was very difficult to keep away from going into EVERY store to do some retail damage.

There was no time for that, it was all about my Appearance and showing some of my NIKOLAKI Collection dresses to all the high school students who were in attendance for this final third day of the "3 Days of Fashion".

Welcome Nick: Nick Verreos at FIDM San Francisco "3 Days of Fashion 2012"

Over 100 students plus some of their mom's and dad's greeted me with a wonderful "San Francisco" welcome!! I spoke about my time as a young boy drawing all the stewardess uniforms while traveling on trips with my mom and dad, as well as how I decided to attend FIDM and all that has happened since, including "Project Runway", all my TV Red Carpet Expert work and of course, dressing celebs like Katy Perry, Beyonce and Heidi Klum. Speaking of my NIKOLAKI designs...

Rachael in a raspberry-colored silk-wool ziberline strapless dress with draped bustier and asymmetrical skirt. And by the way, this dress was the same dress worn by Beyonce in her "Best Thing I Never Had" music video.

Then, after my "Nick Talk" and NIKOLAKI mini-fashion presentation, it was on to judging the "Rock the Runway" Contest--where "3 Days of Fashion" attendees were told to dress in their most "original" outfits which expressed their most "unique" styles.

I had the privilege of being one of the judges,--along with my NIKOLAKI design partner David Paul, FIDM Alumna Julia Anne Hill (she's Apparel and Design Director/Social Media Specialist for Clinton Kelly Inc.) and two hand-picked FIDM SF "3 Days of Fashion 2012" attendees. The Contest was SO much fun--not so much fun to judge (it was very, very difficult since they were ALL very good!)--but fun to see all of the students' ensembles!

McQueen'ed: One of our faves was this one young man named Diego Rivera (I know--just like the Mexican painter!)--you can see him in the photo above wearing the denim shirt, McQueen scarf and black Meggings (male leggings). I teased him because he also had FAB accessories including very expensive Hermes "Collier de Chien" cuff and Cartier "Love" bracelet. I wondered (out loud!) who his Sugar Daddy was--and if I could have his phone number??

Once again, it was a very successful and fantastic FIDM "3 Days of Fashion" in San Francisco--I had so much fun meeting all the students, their mom's and dad's, judging the contest, as well as showing them my NIKOLAKI designs. I LOVE SF and cannot wait to come back!!!
