In My Bag...

I work with beauty brands and have received my fair share of lipsticks, mascaras, blushes, etc. Seriously, I've lost track of how many different shades of lipstick I have alone. I've never been so blessed! While it's fun and exciting, 9 times out of 10, I'll use a product for a week and go back to my beloved items. When you know a product works for you, you just KNOW. (Yep, I'm comparing beauty products to love. Accept that it's happening.) Here are some of the items in my surprisingly minimalist day-to-day makeup bag.
Glossier Priming Moisturizer My love affair with Glossier started when they sent me a box of product along with the cutest stickers I'd ever seen and a pink bubble wrap cosmetic bag. I MEAN. Does it get any better than that? The answer is no, in case you were wondering. This moisturizer is my favorite for a few reasons. 1. It's unscented. A major plus with face products. 2. It's lightweight. With summer right around the corner, I can already feel my face getting dry. The problem with dry skin (besides the obvious) is most face moisturizers I've used are crazy thick. But not this one, it's light and airy, you can barely feel it. 3. This isn't proven for everyone, but one day I put it on and my boyfriend asked what I had changed about my face. I was clearly puzzled and replied "Um, I just put face lotion on?" He said it cleared me up and I looked extra radiant. Okay, I added the radiant part in. But if a boyfriend notices a makeup change, that's almost like magic, friends!//Glossier.com for $22
CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara by LashBlast in Very Black A few months ago Maybelline decided to break my heart into 17 million pieces by discontinuing the best mascara ever created. (RIP Volum Express One-by-One) I was seriously devastated, I didn't know where to turn. How could I live without a little mascara love for my eyelashes?! It was a dark time. That is, until I found CoverGirl's Clump Crusher Mascara. It had the same consistency as Maybelline and wasn't clumpy - hence the name. It went on smooth, elongated my lashes and didn't smudge after use of my rosewater spray. That's all I wanted in a new mascara! Stability. And now I've found it. I could not be happier. But I swear, if they ever take this away, I don't know what I'll do.//Target or CoverGirl.com for $5.60
CHANEL Crayon Sourcils #30 I know this may sound silly, but this was one of my first major beauty purchases. I remember it vividly. I received a Bloomingdale's gift card (Okay, so I didn't actually purchase it myself, but whatever.) and decided to treat myself to some Chanel love. Instead of a nail polish or lipstick, I went crazy and bought an eyebrow pencil. I was feeling chic and sophisticated! Oh, it changed my life. My life and my eyebrows' lives. I don't know what that means exactly, but I haven't been the same. It is the smoothest pencil I've ever tried. I'm currently trying out a new pencil and not pleased. The shade is perfect and the brush is just right! I've never really been a brand person, but I do truly believe Chanel makes the world a better place.//Chanel.com for $29
ESOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Sweet Mint I used to see girls with these ESOS lip balms everywhere. Seriously, they traveled in packs. I was always intrigued by how they applied it and how it all fit into the little ball. This all changed when Coachella time came around. I needed a chapstick that wouldn't melt in the hot desert sun. I also wanted something that smelled good. That's where ESOS came in. Not only is the container stinkin' cute, but it smells (and tastes, that's important too) SO good. It moisturizes the perfect amount and doesn't feel heavy or waxy. The sweet mint also leaves the right amount of a tingly mint feeling. But my favorite part is that you can still apply lipstick on over the balm. That's extremely important on my list of lip balm needs. I think I'm in love!//Target or ESOS.com for $3.29

That's all for now. I have a lot more, but these should tide you over for now.

Glamour UK June 2015

Let's face it. Taylor Swift and I are long lost soul sisters. We just are. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind we would get along perfectly in real life. We have a lot in common (Not just including her long list of ex-lovers... I only wish they were my ex-lovers. But hey, I can dream.) and we could have cat/friend dates. If that's not perfect, then I honestly don't know what is. My BFF graces the cover of Glamour UK's June issue looking flawless, as per usual. I adore her hair and the black and white vibes of the shoot. She can do no wrong in my book. Also, I know I'm a broken record, but European magazines are always just a little better than American magazines. This just proves my point.
This dress looks like the paper snowflakes we made in elementary school. For that I love it even more.
Girlfriend is all about those crop tops and they agree with her.

FASHION May 2015

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Elizabeth is my favorite Olsen sister. I know, blasphemy you may say. Outrage, you may also say. But I stand by it. She's quiet and mysterious, I know very little about her. She has cute hair and I want to be her friend. She was also a mysterious bad ass in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" so she has that going for her. By that, I mean she knows Thor and Iron Man. She graces the cover of FASHION's May issue with a cute haircut and a beautiful DSquared skirt that makes me want to a) watercolor and b) twirl around until I get dizzy. You know, the usual things.
The skirt is HUGE. I love it so.
