Project Runway 10th Anniversary Party at Lord & Taylor--My Recap!

What a Night!!!

Last week, I flew to New York City for the NY Fashion Week Project Runway Tenth Anniversary festivities as well as to unveil the ten piece "Project Runway Collection at Lord &Taylor" which, of course, included my dress design. First up was the Project Runway VIP 10th Anniversary Party at Lord & Taylor Fifth Avenue Flagship. As you may know, I was asked--along with eight other Project Runway designers plus Christopher Palu who won the "Lord &Taylor Challenge" a couple of weeks back--to design a dress for the exclusive 10th Anniversary Project Runway Collection to be sold at Lord & Taylor exclusively. I was the "Season 2" pick for the line.

I flew to NYC with my NIKOLAKI partner-for-life, David Paul. After settling in, we got ready. I put on my never-worn-before Dolce & Gabbana Collection black and white mini polka dotted tuxedo silk satin jacket, pink dress shirt and pocket scarf, skinny jeans, Gucci boots and was ready to go! (Thank you David for styling me so fabulously!).

David and I took a cab from the hotel with the ever-so-lovely Gordana Gehlhausen, Project Runway alumna from Season 6 (LOVE HER!). It was a very hot-and-humid NYC early evening and the taxi we took LIED to us--telling us it had air conditioning but really, it was just blowing hot air (in other words, I was SCHVITZING!). After arriving at Lord & Taylor, we posed for photos outside in front of the beautiful window displays featuring our dresses, which I'd never seen before--in person that is.Then, we high-tailed it inside to the party.

The party was in full swing on the second floor as we arrived. I knew that this was a very VIP party when I saw a very long "red carpet" step-and-repeat with lots of media, photographers and various press. I did interviews in both English and Spanish for several entertainment shows. At one point--out of the corner of my eye--I spotted Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi whom I would later get to say "Hi" to inside the party. She was in NY for the launch of her new activewear line Tsu.ya by Kristi Yamaguchi.

VIP Guests: Also there was Project Runway Mentor Tim Gunn (he was so sweet when saying "hello" to David and I and asked about our little Benny!!), Lord & Taylor's President Bonnie Brooks (who was a Guest Judge during the "Lord & Taylor Challenge" a couple of weeks back), as well as Marie Claire Fashion Director, the UBER chic Nina Garcia. Tim, Bonnie and Nina were doing a Champagne toast to the Tenth Season of Project Runway with ALL of this season's designers--who were also there at the party. It was all captured by a bunch of cameras who were filming this soiree for a future episode of Project Runway (I assume the Finale one perhaps?).

A Moment of Figure Skating HEAVEN:

I was BEYOND excited when upon arriving at the party--and after a little bit of mingling--Olympic Gold Medalist Sarah Hugues saw me and we then began screaming like 15-year-old school girls (OK, I did!!). She then turned and motioned to someone else to come...and would you believe it, it was Miss Kristi Yamaguchi, of course! Well, I almost had a Triple Lutz Heart Attack! If you know anything about me, you might know that I'm a BIG Figure Skating Fan (remember the "Make a Costume for Sasha Cohen Challenge" from my Season of Project Runway?) and I especially love to comment on the costumes. I've had the pleasure of doing Figure Skating Costume commentary for the Torino Winter Olympics (2006), Vancouver Winter Olympics (2010) and many national and international figure skating competitions for NBC, Universal Sports and ICE network.

It was so wonderful seeing them. We talked fashion, Project Runway and some figure skating DISH. I even teased Kristi about how "HUNKY" her husband is (he was blushing!) Both of them--as you can see from the pictures above--looked AMAZING and PS: Sarah, those fuchsia pumps were DIVINE! Running into these two Goddesses of Figure Skating made my night. Oh, yeah, and David's too: he REALLY REALLY loves Figure Skating!

Who Else Was There...Season 10 Designers:

Season 10 Designer Alicia Hardesty and Nick Verreos--I was one of the Casting Judges for Season 10 in Los Angeles, and Alicia was one of the contestants we advanced to the next round, so I was happy to see her and congratulate her for getting on the show!

The party which really was a "celebration" of reaching the ten season mark, was sort of a "reunion" of sorts since there were lots of designers representing all the previous nine seasons. Besides keeping in touch via email or texts, I don't get to really "hang out" much with many of the Project Runway alumn so it was nice seeing so many of them in one room. Where's Andrae?? Well, kids, as you can see, he was at last week's bash! I had not seen Andrae in AGES-since he left LA to move to NYC--so it was nice to run into him. FIDM MUSEUM....."Fashion Philanthropy" Exhibition, from The Linda & Steven Plochocki Collection

Even though the 11th Annual Art of Television Costume Design Exhibition closed earlier this month, if you are a FASHION COUTURE ENTHUSIAST, you still have plenty of time to swing by the FIDM Museum in Downtown Los Angeles to enjoy the beautiful "Fashion Philanthropy: The Linda and Steven Plochocki Collection".

The Exhibition showcases collected, purchased and donated items--both garments and accessories--from the Plochocki's collection, and explores Linda's fascination with all things floral and embroidered. In addition to 19th and 20th century pieces, the show also highlights contemporary designs by Prada, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, and Raf Simons for Christian Dior. FIDM Museum Creative Director Peter Lam's hand-crafted paper flowers adorn the walls and accentuate the blush and grey color scheme.

Fashion's Night Out NYC: Come Say "Hi" in NYC Thursday September 6, Lord & Taylor 6-11PM !

This week, as a lot of you fashionistas know, is time to get ready for Fashion's Night Out. For the fourth year in a
row, designers, models, fashion editors, celebrities and, of course,
shoppers will once again flock to their favorite stores for an
extravagant night of shopping, champagne and exclusive FNO events which are happening ALL over the World. In NYC, the celebration
marks the kickoff to New York Fashion Week and the festivities all happen on Thursday, September 6, from 6
to 11pm.

American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York created Fashion's Night Out in 2009 as a
collaboration intended to celebrate fashion, restore consumer
confidence, boost the industry's economy and put the fun back in
shopping. Proceeds from sales of official FNO gear will benefit the New
York Community Trust's New York City AIDS Fund. For the last several years, I have had the pleasure of hosting FNO events in several cities/malls/department stores including Charleston West Virginia in 2011 and Miami in 2010.

This year, I have the extreme pleasure of being part of the Lord & Taylor Fifth Avenue Fashion's Night Out 2012 event occurring yes, at the Lord & Taylor Fifth Avenue Fifth Avenue Flagship in NYC!

The night's FNO "headliner" is the ever-so-fabulous Kim Kardashian, who will be exclusively at the store, signing her True Reflection fragrance bottles for fans. She'll be there from 7-9 PM. I had a fun pleasure of working with Kim several years back while doing an Academy Award Pre-Show for E! Entertainment:

Hairstyles 2014: Long and Medium Length hair

Crop Tops: NO. CROP. TOPS. Peplums: The peplum was everywhere last year; they were on dresses, shirts and jackets. Worn/Washed Out Jeans: Raw denim in mid-toned blue and the occasional unfinished hem is looming on the fashion horizon for jeans. The high-wasted, butt cheek bearing jean shorts that were so "in" in 2013 will longer be fashion acceptable so throw those OUT.

Cutouts: The revealing cutout details of 2013 dresses have been replaced by sheer fabric. You can switch to dresses or shirts with sheer paneling.

This trend is great for dresses and going out tops. Collared Shirts: The crisp, menswear-inspired dress shirt enjoys a makeover with inventively cool, contrasting color and/or textured collars and cuffs. The fashion-edgy sporty look is coming in a big way in 2014.

An appropriate expression that summarizes the evening fashion trends of 2014 is "elegant luxury." This time designers have been forgetting the color palettes, textures, shapes, pathos in the cuts and all other innovations that remind us of the past seasons. This time they're bringing back the traditional old-fashioned styles.

Deep cuts and open shoulders were chosen as the neck designs for designing the most seductive chest area. Given below are some popular trends that you can expect to see in the designs of evening dresses in 2014:

Vivid and spectacular color choices

Noble and elegant color schemes are the future of fashion in 2014, so they've been used in evening dresses too. Enlightening folds on the dresses

Folds, pleats and drapes are some common designing tactics used in the evening dresses of 2014.

Whether clothing or hairstyles, each new year ushers in new fashion trends.

Hairstyles 2014: Long and Medium Length hair

1. Braids:

You can wear them in umpteen styles - crown braids, cornrows, herringbone or fishtail braids, the school girl braid, the loose messy side braid, the waterfall braid, the braided top knot, the side swept braid etc.

2. The Ponytail:

Ponytails suit almost all face shapes and hold well on all types of hair. Gather your hair in a sleek, high ponytail for a sporty or professional look. 3. Loose Waves:

This 90's inspired hairstyle never seems to go out of fashion. If you have naturally curly hair, play up the curls on your hair. Hairstyles 2014: Short hairstyle

Shorter cuts have several advantages. Short hair is easy to maintain. Short styles make one look younger. Bangs and bobs gel well. Try different types of bangs - fringe, Cleopatra bangs, side swept bangs or asymmetrical bangs.

If we take a look at what designers have prepared for the prom dresses of 2014 then we find that the prom trends of next year seem to be the formalwear interpretations of street style and high-end fashion. Many celebrities like Selena Gomez, Vanessa Gomez, Chloe Moretz and Carly Rae Jepsen sparked these fashion trends this year by wearing such dresses at premiers and award ceremonies. Some most notable trends are being mentioned below:

Peplum: Over the course of last few months Peplum has exploded in the market of prom dresses. Peplum skirts, tops and other dresses are available at almost all locations and for all budgets. A highly notable trend in the lace designs is that they're being used as striking designs this time. Brighter hues: Brighter is better for prom dresses in 2014. Generally colored dresses used to dominate the space of prom dresses but this time designers have been shifting to the neon hued designs. The most awesome thing about this trend is that it can be easily combined with other trends (i.e. peplum or lace) for making an outstanding prom dress.

The rise of High-Low: This trend gives designers an opportunity to innovate with multiple colors, prints and design trends. You can find ombre everywhere - from nail polishes to hairstyles to prom dresses. Short dresses with sheer overlay: If you want to loo

k sexy on that prom night then this trend is coming out just for you. Dresses like these look like a combination of gown and party dress.

While each colour body and/or manufacturer has at least one dominant neutral colour scheme within their 2014 trend palettes, colour definitely comes into play.

Colours remain bright, bold and playful, which is a continuation - and furtherance - of current trends. a melding of both vibrant and deep hues... intertwined in intriguingly inventive colour combinations

Watery palettes, combining multiples shades of greens and blues, will no doubt be a favorite. With all the agates and high-sheen finishes seen at High Point, expect blue to sparkle.

It is refreshing to see in a New Year and witness the changing fashion seasons. Floral Patterns- A daunting concept for some of the more macho men but floral patterns seem to be making a huge impact on men's fashion. Colours- For the quiet and reserved gentleman, bright colours may seem a little much but this season they are set to be vital in the world of fashion.

Why is Marc Jacobs torturing me?

He is a sick, egomaniac person, who manipulates everyone.

He can't stand the fact that I denied to do the humiliating things he asked me to.
( He asked me to do many disgusting things in order to be a model)

What is his goal?

1. He wants to be the most powerful fashion designer in the world.

2. He wants to break me by using MY talent meanwhile he suppressed my efforts at creating a career for myself through sneaky tricks.

3. He wants to go on using MY talent since he knows that my style is the best business and is the key for success.

Jacobs is obsessed with the success that he earned by using my ideas. He does ANYTHING to steal my ideas. He stalks and tortures me because he wants me to give up my goal to be a recognized fashion designer.
How does Jacobs copy me?
He copies every single detail on my photos. He uses each photo for more times.
He copies the background, the concept, the colors, the poise, the mood, the outfit that I designed. I am wearing my own designs on my photos. I design and make clothes. Jacobs wants to see the world through my eyes.

Jacobs copies anything I do. He has ex-colleagues and friends working at almost every big fashion brand. He can bring my ideas to Stella McCartney, Dior, Nina Ricci, Chanel, Prada, Ungaro, Balenciaga, Dsquared, Dolce Gabbana with the help of his friends. (Katie Grand, Camille Micheli, Nicholas Ghesquiére, Peter Copping, etc.)

By the way according to some rumors Nicolas Ghesquiére has been named as the new creative director at Louis Vuitton.. He might replace his friend Marc Jacobs. Nicolas is controled by Jacobs also. Nicolas used to work for Balenciaga. Katie Grand and Camille Miceli usually sit front row at Balenciaga.( Although they both work for LVMH.) They have connections there, Marc secretely controls Balenciaga through his undercover people. Read more details, click here.

I was silent for 5 years. I always believed that Jacobs would either own up to designing about me or forget me and let me live my life without him... unfortunately he did not leave me alone.. he became more and more obsessed with me and success and he did many crazy things...

A couple of months ago I started my blog and spreading my true story with Marc Jacobs. By the end of 2013 more than 565.000 people have read my blog.
Jacobs and his friends seriously life-threatened me! They want me to shut up and accept the fact that they are using my talent, enjoy the success meanwhile ignoring my person from the fashion world.

I posted on facebook a couple of photos about me wearing a black wig with short bang... a couple of months later, all the models at the Louis Vuitton show are wearing black wigs.

Well, everything started at the beginning of 2008, when I was only 16 years old.
I met Marc Jacobs at his gym in Paris. He noticed how special my style was from the first moment. He invited me to his Louis Vuitton fashion show and the dinner after. He has been stalking me since then.

He promised he would make the biggest top model out of me, because he could sell anything with my face. He said I was the first woman he fell in love with. He fooled with me with love, marriage, kids and top model carrier. I believed his every word!

For two years we spoke 10 hours every day. Jacobs wanted to know everything about me. He became obsessed with my personality and the unique style I represent. (Katie Grand said in an interview that the design team had to be listening to MY Cher CD for 2 weeks while they were designing the LV collections. Marc was wearing high-heels with dress and walking around the room acting like he was Angel Barta.)
Marc said my energy was vital for him. He told me he needed me, because with my talent he could be the new Picasso, he wanted to write his name with Golden Letters into the Fashion History. Jacobs copied my style for his fashion shows without my permission.( Louis Vuitton Spring 2009, Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 and Louis Vuitton Fall 2009, MJ Fall 2009) It was a huge success! Marc became overwhelmed by the success.

He told me he loved me and he would tell the fashion world the next time that he designed about me, and he would make the biggest fashion designer out of me and we would work together officially. I believed him that he would support me to be able to work in the fashion industry.

I did not get anything for my ideas, only his nice words and fake promises.

Jacobs kept torturing me: Saying he loved me, sending me love messages, poems, he wrote love songs and asked famous singers to sing it. He made those singers to wear the clothes he designed about me. For example Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift. ( Rachel Zoe, famous stylist supports MJ and dresses the celebs) Jacobs controls many celebrities. For example Kanye West, his best buddy has recently stolen a Hungarian song. Omega, the Hungarian band is going to sue Kanye for using their music without permission.

He used Rubble/Freestone background and a painting. The model had the same poise on the picture.

After more seasons I started to realize that MJ was just using my talent for his own success. I noticed that he hacked my cell phone, he knew all my text messages, emails, he was checking my facebook. He contacted my friends from fake accounts and sent them messages.

In the end of 2009 I realized that he never loved me. So I told Marc:

I am deeply disappointed. You lied to me! You only wanted my ideas for your own success. You knew it from the first moment that you would never help me. You already planned that you would only fool me and use my talent and hide me from the fashion world. So noone would know that your successful collections were MY ideas... the style came originally from me... I never want to talk to you again! I will not give you ideas any more! Forget me forever!!!!

So from 2010 I did not give him my ideas any more.
I wanted to break up with him! He kept calling me, texting me, but I never answered. I stopped giving him photos.... I wanted to forget him... but he did not leave me alone. He wrote me every day that he would kill himself if I don't answer.

Jacobs did not want to let me and my ideas go. He did not accept the fact that I stopped inspiring him. He became more and more obsessed with me and did many crazy and cruel things to steal my ideas and keep me in a secret. He is afraid of my talent, de doesn't want me to work in the fashion world. He does everything to hide me!

He stalks me. He hired people to follow me all day and take photos and videos on me on the street for Jacobs. This way he could copy everything I was wearing. Marc Jacobs started to make fashion videos, copying my life, my memories, my moments. The models has to act and poise the way I do. They have to copy my movements.

Here is a video, where I talk about Paris and my feeling on the first day of my trip. I had just arrived to Paris, and Marc already knew it and sent his buddy after me.

I made this video in 2012 summer. I was wearing my own designs stripped Angel Barta dress. In 2012 summer polka dots were the must have trends of the summer. 2 months later Jacobs designed a collection full of stripped outfits... each single outfit was stripped!

Jacobs wants to lead the everything. He tries to control the celebrities also.
Rachel Zoe, famous stylist from Hollywood dresses up the stars in Marc's clothes. (For example in the last minute Anna Hathaway wore a pink Prada dress- designed by MJ for the Oscars instead of the Valentino gown she was planning to wear.)

He has Camille Micheli at Dior ( She used to work at the PR Louis Vuitton, with Marc Jacobs for more then 10 years, before MJ got her " Creative- Jewelry Director" Job at Dior in 2009)

Katie Grand supports him in his cruel game against me. Katie Grand works for many big brands and fashion magazines. She is the editor of LOVE and POP Magazine. With her help Jacobs can copy my ideas and spread it in the whole fashion world. Marc Jacobs is egomaniac and wants to control the whole fashion world. He even gives ideas for his competitors. With Katie Grand he copies my ideas not just for Louis Vuitton but also for Balenciaga, Prada, Miu Miu, Giles, Ungaro, Versace, Dolce Gabbana etc. He wants to lead and control everything!!! He makes the top models, he decides who's gonna be the next IT Girl, who will be in most of the campaignes, not just in his ads, but in every brand.

I wrote a 500 pages long book about the first 2 years of my relationship with Marc Jacobs. The title is " The Secret Love Affair in Paris". I was hoping MJ would leave me alone after reading my book. I wrote honestly about my dreams, wishes and feelings. Jacobs used every information against me. He gave all my dreams for other models from my country in order to break me. Jacobs' supporter Katie Grand casted the Hungarian girls in all her key shows and shoots. (for example, a Hungarian model, Vanessa has been the face of Prada for 3 seasons already, this is the first time someone gets such long Prada contract) The models have to dress up in my style and copy me and my poises in the editorials. Anywhere I go must face the photos he copied. I see my ideas in the magazines, on the campaigns on the street etc.

Guess, I don't need to explain why you see Cara Delenvigne everywhere lately. Delevingne’s rise to modeling stardom can be tracked back to Marc Jacobs and Katie Grand, who frequently puts Delevingne in (and even on the cover of) her magazine, Love. By the way Kate Moss ( the other woman who is so passionately French kissing Jacobs) is on the cover of the same issue of LOVE Magazine. Kóbor János the singer of Omega claimed he will sue Kanye for sampling Gyönyhajú Lány(The organs from New Slaves) and not crediting them. He already hired an international lawyer to start the confrontation. They can't sue Kanye yet because it was only played on walls and on SNL and it's not official. But if it made the Album he promised he will step in the ring.
It's funny because the 66 buildings experience was filmed on the singer's 70th birthday.

Many people have identified the sample at use towards the end of the new track that Kanye West premiered on (almost) 66 buildings and Saturday Night Live this past weekend.
The music? A Hungarian band called Omega, who released ”Gyöngyhajú Lány” (translated as The Girl with Pearly Hair) in 1969.

Kanye is a very good buddy of Marc Jacobs. They have worked together, Kanye designed trainers for Louis Vuitton. He flies all the way to Paris to watch front row every single show of his friend Marc.
