Gifts from the Bloomingdale’s Sale for Every Woman in Your Life

We all have that friend. The one who religiously drinks Starbucks, works out like a fiend, or only listens to Drake. Then, there's the friend who never goes out or always goes out. And then there's your best friend, the one you've known for years, who takes it personally when you don't know her every like, dislike, and deepest secret. And, of course, we can't forget about the woman who likely knows you best: your mom.

For the many women in your life, the ones who've got your back and you've got theirs, the holidays are an opportunity to show them you've been listening—and that you care. You know she's always cold (buy her a chic sweater), is loving a particular album right now (so, concert tickets?), or that she's "so over going out lately" (clearly, a Netflix subscription is in order).

Here's the Beauty Trend Everyone Was Talking About on Facebook this Year

It's been years since one of Facebook's sole purposes was to "poke" your college classmates. Considering that everyone from your childhood nextdoor neighbor, grandma, and quirky aunt who's blacklisted from family events are on your friends list, it's easy to forget that at one time you needed a valid college email address just to sign up for the social media platform.

But in-between the photo albums of your high school chem partner's firstborn child and invitations from your cousin to play FarmVille, conversations about current beauty trends are also happening. Just like the unfiltered photos that your fave celebs like Chrissy Teigen and Ashley Benson are sharing of heir stretch marks, cellulite, and acne treatments on Instagram, the discussion is taking place on Facebook, too.

aAccording to 2017's Annual Topics & Trends Report by the social media site's research arm Facebook IQ, the topic of beauty transparency is on the rise. Along with your favorite beauty brands and celebs openly showing blemishes, stretchmarks, and foregoing retouching in their ad campaigns and personal social media posts, people are more open to sharing and discussing the treatments they do in the name of beauty even if they're considered taboo.

So, what specifically are Facebook users talking about? The report found that since January 2016 the conversation around cryolipolysis, a cooling treatment that reduces body fat grew 19.4x, while hair removal was talked about 12x more, and permanent makeup increased 28.9x. The users speaking up the most on these topics were in the 35-54 age demographic, and the majority identified as women.

The data gives an indication of what topics in the beauty realm that you can expect to see more of on your timeline in 2018. But, the stats also reflect the shift that the beauty industry has seen in the past year. People are becoming more open to the diversity in everyone's own personal experience with beauty and self-care.

Embracing your individuality should never be considered a trend, but we hope the conversation will only continue to get louder throughout 2018.

Francia Raisa Glowed as She Showed Off Her Kidney Transplant Scar on the Red Carpet

It's been three months since Selena Gomez and her best friend Francia Raisa revealed that they had undergone kidney surgery to save Gomez's life, and recovery is going very well for them both.

Yesterday, Raisa, who donated her kidney to Gomez over the summer, stepped out to promote her new show Grown-ish in Hollywood, and she proudly showed off the scar from the life-saving surgery.

Looking healthy and happy on the red carpet to promote her role in the Black-ish spin-off, the actress wore a black crop top and multicolored striped wide-legged pants. If you look closely, you can see a small scar on the upper left part of her stomach where the incision was made.

Two weeks ago, Gomez accepted the Billboard Woman of the Year Award and tearfully thanked her BFF in a touching speech. "To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life," the singer began her emotional speech. ”I would like to thank my amazing team and family because they stuck with me through some really hard times."

We're so thankful that they're both doing great.

Georgina Chapman's Marchesa Will Return to NYFW Amid Harvey Weinstein Scandal

Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa fashion line will be returning to the New York Fashion Week runway in February for the first time since news broke of sexual harassment allegations against her estranged husband, film mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Chapman separated from Weinstein not long after the allegations of sexual harassment and assault broke as she was presenting the brand’s bridal collection, and has remained in hiding since, with the brand conspicuously absent from red carpets and its spring/summer preview canceled. But Page Six reports that Marchesa, which has been worn on the red carpet by dozens of stars, will be returning to NYFW in February for the first time since Weinstein’s allegations broke.

Marchesa will host its fashion show on February 14—the final day of New York Fashion Week—at 4 p.m. shortly before the Marc Jacobs presentation.

The brand’s last show happened earlier this year in N.Y.C. during Bridal Fashion Week on the same day the New York Times exposed Weinstein’s scandal, which led to his termination from his company.

Despite the controversy, Chapman and her business partner Keren Craig have had vocal support from friends including Meghan McCain, who wore a Marchesa dress to her November wedding. “The scandal erupted and everybody was like, are you going to keep the dress? And I was like why should the two women designers be punished for a man’s disgusting behavior,” McCain told People. “I just didn’t wanna feel like the people who had worked there and make their livelihood should be punished as well.”

Earlier this week, actress Alyssa Milano opened up about how Chapman, her longtime friend, was doing in the wake of her ex’s very public scandal, which led to some backlash from the always outspoken Rose McGowan on Twitter.

“Georgina is doing very well,” Milano told Today‘s Megyn Kelly. “She’s an amazing mother. She’s an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation.”

Angelina Jolie Is the Epitome of Glam on Night Out With Kids in N.Y.C. Play Video

The cold weather won't stop Angelina Jolie from shining! Last night, the 42-year-old actress attended the 2017 U.N. Correspondents Association Awards in N.Y.C., and although the temperature was near-freezing, she was still red-carpet ready in a strapless black gown.

Jolie attended the event with four of her children: 14-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 11-year-old Shiloh, and 9-year-old Knox, all of whom were dressed to the nines. To be honest, we wish all our family outings were this glamorous.

Jolie arrived at the Cipriani Wall Street restaurant in a floor-length strapless black gown featuring a white train, which was carried by an assistant. She wore long black gloves to fend off the cold (and because, fashion) and rocked winged eyeliner for a dramatic makeup look as she entered the event, pausing to sign a few autographs along the way.
