This Is The Fashion Advice That Kate Middleton Has Given Meghan Markle

We have no doubt that Kate Middleton–a seasoned royal–has been showing Meghan Markle the ropes over the past few months, with the actress explaining in her engagement interview that the Duchess of Cambridge had been ‘wonderful.’

But it seems like Middleton’s advice isn’t limited to tips on etiquette and secrets for how to get on with the family, it also extends to royal fashion advice. And on closer inspection, we can definitely tell.

While the 36-year-old Suits actress has brought a sense of millennial style to the royal family (even wearing high-fashion sheer couture in her official engagement photos), if we look closely we can tell that Markle has actually been changing her look since joining the royal fold–and it’s all down to Middleton.

Following in Middleton’s footsteps, Markle has started using her wardrobe to spread an important message.

Man Repeller's Leandra Medine and Husband Abie Cohen Play The Newlywed Game—and Their Answers Are Hilarious

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we asked some of our favorite power couples to put each other to the test Newlywed Game style.

Turns out, Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine has always been digitally savvy. In 2006, before launching her site, she met her now-husband, Abie Cohen, on Facebook. “Back then it was incredibly unusual to be friended by someone you didn’t know,” she says. “We started talking a little bit there, but the courtship truly began on AOL Instant Messenger.” As luck would have it, she ran into Cohen, a financier, IRL at a mutual friend’s Halloween party weeks later. “I was dressed as a slutty flight attendant and he was coming from a bar mitzvah,” she says.

Fast-forward 12 years, and the Cohens are happily married, living together in downtown New York City, and expecting a set of twins this winter. After documenting her infertility struggles, Medine announced her pregnancy in a candid blog post in November. “That was my course. This is my course. I wish I had known this. I wish I could have believed Abie when he said I would be happy again,” she wrote. “I hope that you believe me when I say you will be, too.”

Medine is known for her frank and relatable voice—whether discussing heartbreak or handbags, beauty routines or love. And Abie knows it. Below, see just how well they know each other (or don’t know each other—we also asked them to chime in on any incorrect answers, which you'll find crossed out).

The 2018 GLAAD Media Awards Nominees Include Miley Cyrus and Kesha—See the Full List

The 29th annual GLAAD Media Awards nominees were announced live from the Sundance Film Festival on Friday, and your favorite celebrities are in the running for an award. Each year, the organization, which is the world’s largest for LGBTQ advocacy, honors those who use their platform to champion LGBTQ-include stories.

So who made the cut? Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Halsey, Sam Smith, and Kelela (to name a few) are in the running for Outstanding Music Artist, while the year’s top films like Call Me by Your Name, Lady Bird, and Battle of the Sexes received a nod. In addition, Jay-Z will receive a Special Recognition Award for his song and music video “Smile,” which features his mother, Gloria Carter, who came out as a lesbian in the song.

“At a time when anti-LGBTQ policies and harassment are on the rise, it is imperative that Hollywood and news media tell more LGBTQ stories that reflect the community’s rich diversity—and build understanding that brings all communities closer together,” GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement. “This year’s nominee showcase stories that span races, genres, ages, and geographies, challenge misconceptions, and broaden understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ people across the globe.”

The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies are scheduled for April 12 in L.A. and May 5 in New York. See the nominees below—and visit glaad.org for the full list.

These Travel Plans Will Make You a Happier Person

These Travel Plans Will Make You a Happier Person

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens may not be as effective as planning a trip or spending time with friends when it comes to establishing long-lasting happiness.

It’s commonly known that possessions are not as effective as experiences when attempting to create a well-rounded sense of satisfaction and happiness. Those who aim to make 2018 a year filled with happiness would be well-advised to plan travel with deeper intentions this year.

Behavioral scientists have consistently proven that individual happiness is linked to the happiness of those around us. Embarking on vacation with friends and family (when everybody is in a good mood) can do wonders for deepening connections. Book a family vacation or a getaway with friends to feel the happiness grow.

Although, sometimes the opposite may hold true and meeting strangers could increase life satisfaction. Travelers who want to meet new people can book a group trip by themselves for an easy way to make new friends while traveling. Some people even report meeting a romantic interest on these trips.

Mastering a new skill is also an effective way to increase long-term happiness (although it may be frustrating during the process). Consider booking an immersion trip to learn a new language, an adventure trip to finally master skiing or scuba, or a science-based excursion to help out with field research.

Selena Gomez’s Mom Is Not Happy About Justin Bieber

While we can’t seem to get enough of the Selena Gomez-Justin Bieber romance renewal, there’s at least one person who’s not excited about it—Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey.

During an interview with Gossip Cop, Teefey admitted she’s “not happy” about the return of Jelena, going on to tell the interviewer that she hasn’t spoken to the Biebs in “years.”

That being said, Teefey knows that her “Wolves” singer daughter is old enough to make her own decisions, even if mom doesn’t quite approve. “Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy,” Teefey explained. “She is 25-years old and knows what is at stake with her health…[Selena] is an adult and can make her own choices.”

There’s been a lot of buzz about recent tension between Teefey and Gomez, who also happen to produce 13 Reasons Why together. Last month, the two unfollowed each other on Instagram, though inside sources said it wasn’t just because of Bieber. (Teefey has started following her daughter again since then.)

“Every mother and daughter has disagreements,” Teefey told Gossip Cop. Truer words were never spoken. Bieber certainly has his work cut out for him!
