The hairstyles that will be worn in 2019

There are only a few days left to bid farewell to the year and to welcome 2019. As is often the case at this time, a great many purposes are marked to improve both personally and professionally.
To help achieve these goals and shelve everything bad, what better to start this year with a new haircut.
Actresses, singers, and models have taken advantage of these last weeks to dress up the look and get ready for the holidays.
The last? The angel Romee Strijd, who has surprised his fans with a very flattering fringe. These will be the styles that will triumph in 2019:
'Curtain fringe'
Many celebrities have fallen to this fringe in a curtain that favors the oval faces. Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin made this cut fashionable in the 70s, which is characterized by being longer on the sides and opening slightly in the center to give a more disheveled air.
The fringe can be worn with both smooth and striped hair as Alessandra Ambrosio and Belén Hostalet, or with a slight undulation to give more volume to the look.

'Bob shaggy'
The bob has been one of the cuts of 2018 and will continue to be next year. In this case, it is known as bob shaggy, half mane with texture and movement in the tips that have led Emma Stone, Alexa Chung and more recently, Emily Ratajkowski. This style is perfect for those girls who have very thin hair and no volume.

'Long bob'
It is one of the most flattering cuts for its versatility. The fury of the hairy stockings, initiated by Kate Middleton, will continue in 2019. The ideal thing is to bring the straight hair to about five fingers below the shoulders. An ideal option to get a mane with a fresh and youthful air, which can be worn with straight, curly and wavy hair.

'Pixie'
Tom Ford already warned him in his fashion show at New York Fashion Week last September. The pixie cut will be in fashion again. comfortable style for daring girls who want to undergo a radical change of look.

'Midi' with the stripe in the middle
Another hairstyle with the bob as the protagonist, in this case, with the line in the middle. This style is not suitable for all faces. Those that have the face with the square, heart or rhomboid shape can have a mane at the height of the clavicle but with the stripe on the side since it will soften the features.

'Flipside hair'
This style is what Reese Witherspoon always wears: bangs aside. It girl anime Bing or the actress Chloe Moretz wear this look with a casual look. The key is to give a lot of volume to the root to get the toupee effect.

new hairstyle

Melena XXL
Among so many bob cuts there is also room for an extra long mane. To get a hair like Sara Carbonero, Candice Swanepoel or Taylor Hill. Experts also recommend nourishing and moisturizing the hair and get a treatment such as an enzyme therapy or angioplasty to get a healthy-looking hair.

'Rootbeer', the color of the year
And what will be the most requested color in hairdressing salons? The Root Beer will be the new star tone in 2019. Perfect for chestnut manes, this multidimensional tone, inspired by root beer, will consist of a mixture of very subtle, intertwined wicks that bring movement, depth, and light to the hair.

Georgina Chapman's Marchesa Will Return to NYFW Amid Harvey Weinstein Scandal

Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa fashion line will be returning to the New York Fashion Week runway in February for the first time since news broke of sexual harassment allegations against her estranged husband, film mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Chapman separated from Weinstein not long after the allegations of sexual harassment and assault broke as she was presenting the brand’s bridal collection, and has remained in hiding since, with the brand conspicuously absent from red carpets and its spring/summer preview canceled. But Page Six reports that Marchesa, which has been worn on the red carpet by dozens of stars, will be returning to NYFW in February for the first time since Weinstein’s allegations broke.

Marchesa will host its fashion show on February 14—the final day of New York Fashion Week—at 4 p.m. shortly before the Marc Jacobs presentation.

The brand’s last show happened earlier this year in N.Y.C. during Bridal Fashion Week on the same day the New York Times exposed Weinstein’s scandal, which led to his termination from his company.

Despite the controversy, Chapman and her business partner Keren Craig have had vocal support from friends including Meghan McCain, who wore a Marchesa dress to her November wedding. “The scandal erupted and everybody was like, are you going to keep the dress? And I was like why should the two women designers be punished for a man’s disgusting behavior,” McCain told People. “I just didn’t wanna feel like the people who had worked there and make their livelihood should be punished as well.”

Earlier this week, actress Alyssa Milano opened up about how Chapman, her longtime friend, was doing in the wake of her ex’s very public scandal, which led to some backlash from the always outspoken Rose McGowan on Twitter.

“Georgina is doing very well,” Milano told Today‘s Megyn Kelly. “She’s an amazing mother. She’s an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation.”

Selena Gomez's best fashion moments (boy, has she upped the ante!)

Is it just us, or has Selena Gomez seriously stepped up her fashion game lately? Long gone are the sweet but safe prom dresses in pretty pastel hues - Selena's transformed into a fully-fledged fashion star, hitting the red carpet in her stride with a wardrobe of big name, molto sexy Italian designers like Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, and a love of plunging necklines, sharp tailoring and mega-watt embellishment. See Selena's style transformation from sugary sweet Disney Princess to uber-glamorous red carpet queen - we bet the Bieber's kicking himself for letting this fashion maven go.

Returning back to where it all began, the former Disney Channel star appeared on Radio Disney wearing a Proenza Schouler black dress with copper foil printed embellishments.

Selena pairs a Shaina Mote dress with a casual leather jacket for a Music Choice event in New York. Loving that cross-print look.

An unexpected fashion choice for the singer, Selena pairs this highlighter pink Miu Miu jumpsuit with a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels.

SPRING 2018 READY TO WEAR

Raul Lopez wants to make the ladies feel like bosses. His first full women’s ready-to-wear collection for Spring 2018 only came with 18 looks, but there was certainly enough to prove that, with a bit more streamlining, this is a market in which he might really thrive. The young designer currently operates within the creatively driven underground realm of fashion. His designs—for both men and women—are delightfully humorous and avant-garde, but look closely. Once picked apart, certain pieces could fly off the shelves at somewhere like, say, Opening Ceremony or Maryam Nassir Zadeh. With his debut this season, he was smart to carry over his cheeky, deconstructed office-wear vibes from his main men’s offering.

As he explained it, he “was focused on the type of woman who is in touch with her hypermasculine side, one on a power trip and one who is looking for revenge on any man that has ever tried to make her feel ashamed.” He adds, “She is complex—she loves a night out on Dyckman Street [in New York’s Inwood area], but also lives for an elegant and classy moment.”

This is where Lopez could find balance, somewhere between the style of the wild club-kid posse he has long been a part of and the strong femininity and ladylike aesthetic he’s clearly drawn to. Certain pieces in the new collection were well conceived under the pretense of this dichotomy. There was the camel-colored overcoat that was cinched at the waist and elbows and embroidered with the Wu-Tang Clan’s lyrics, “Cash rules everything around me.” There were cool, sophisticated cuffed jeans and a dark denim skirt with gold buttons layered over them. A gray long blazer embellished with oblong metal hardware at the shoulder and hip was also strong. Like he did with his men’s collection shown earlier this summer, Lopez also played with ideas of suiting—two standouts included a crisp white button-down shirt stitched with “Luar” in cursive and a striking, shapeless dress made from pinstripe jackets and trousers that hung beautifully off of a model’s shoulders. It would also be a shame not to mention the skirt designed with khaki trousers that seemed to insinuate a dude’s “bulge” at the front.

Lopez has incredible potential and, if he can strike the right chord with women who want that business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back kind of style (on top of the DJs, rappers, hip-hop stars, vogue-ers, and artists he’s already won over), he’ll have it made in the shade. As he noted after the show, “Every aspect of my life has been influenced by strong and controversial women and paying homage to them was long overdue.”

André Bryson - Guerrilla - Emerging Fashion Designers at NYFW

For those of you who may not be familiar with the term, Guerrilla is the name given to irregular military combatants, like a 'Resistance' army; not an official army... In my correspondence with the designer André Bryson he tells me that these 60's 70's silhouettes are a reference inspired by the tensions of the day, both in the USA; and tensions in the UK epitomised by the Mods and Rockers. Clearly André sides with the Mods on the style front. And quoting Bryson directly "Only the five primary colors (black, white, red, yellow and blue) I wanted to express that every color known to man is derived from these five colors in hope to bring unity to this collection as a complete story." I suspect the colours chosen also represent a message of unity in more than just the designs. My photos are of some of the highlights from the Guerrilla range, shown with Bracé Designers Emergent De la Mode NYFW at The Stewart Hotel, NYC September 2017.

I love the blocked colours and bold stripes, patch pockets and windowpane broken-checks, black with white or white with black, playing with positive/negative combinations. The innovative Nehru jacket as an open-front blouse with a scarf or pussy bow tied at the collar, a personal favourite of mine. Curiously, weeks later I saw similar concepts being sent down the runway in my news feeds from the Paris shows.. Weeks later.. Bryson seems to have the zeitgeist a fashion designer needs on his side. Purvi Doshi at Art Hearts Fashion; New York Fashion Week 2017

Yes the lure of the long haul flight this week sees me in New York for the very first time - yes what a year it has been. Once again I am on assignment shooting for White Caviar Life; though right now that also includes us attending some New York Fashion Week shows which I am able to put out as soon as I can. Yes take an afternoon nap whenever you can, it really helps! But enough of the preamble; tonight we were down at the Angel Orensanz Center in Norfolk Street which is a super funky historic church building. Although there were three parades and a blistering electronic violin performance opening by Sarah Charness; I want to kick off my coverage with the beautiful, colourful and sustainability crafted garments by Purvi Doshi from India. She is a proponent of slow and eco friendly fashion which is certainly something we need a lot more of. The theme for the range was living peacefully together with nature. I thought the hand stitched designs and elaborate embroidery just oh so romantic. But enough of me, here's my shots from the runway so you can decide for yourselves - useful links at the bottom of the page; and more fashion to come, so stay tuned - follow on Facebook too!
