TREND: Amber Heard in kimono spotted on street

Amber Heard's style has changed a lot over the years. Once upon a time she preferred very feminine and sexy dresses, platinum blonde hair and pin-up eyeliner, but now she is queen of eclecticism. See her look with kimono jacket!

Her extravagant and unique style distinguishes her from other celebrities. You can see her love of clothes from the best designers, boho and vintage items that she selects and mixes. Amber Heard is a fashion icon and a lot of women follow her unique style.

Some time ago Amber was caught on the street in Beverly Hills, where she went to have lunch with a friend. She was wearing high waisted jeans, a black basic t-shirt, several necklaces and cut out Maison Margiela shoes. The element that caught most attention was the vintage red kimono. Probably made of silk and found in vintage store or flea market. Kimono had stylish holes, so it did not look too pretentious for daily basis. You can see the influence of ex-husband in Amber's style - Johnny Depp is known for destroyed trousers and hats. All the styling is completed by the dissolved hair (later in the bun) and red nails. Actress make-up was very minimalist, in the style of make up no make up. I admit that this Amber's look very fell to my liking, is cool, with an artistic claw. Such kimono style jacket is now a hot trend and a good choice for a bit cooler spring days.

WEAR YOUR FAVOURITE JEAN JACKET ALL YEAR LONG

A denim jacket has been an essential part of my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. I can’t imagine trying to dress for spring and fall without it. A denim jacket is a basic wardrobe staple which makes every outfit look totally differently. That's a very versatile piece, as you can wear it over a laid-back sweatshirt, plain white cotton tee, denim pants, wear with simple long necklace, or you can go for a girlish and chic look, wearing cocktail dress and sparkling, trendy accessories.

Thanks to its versatility and practicality, you can wear it for various events, day or night. Denim jackets are hailed as an essential for your casual wardrobe, and if you haven’t quite figured out the various ways of styling this outerwear staple, here are a few awesomely simple ideas:

Personally, I like a denim jacket that is slightly cropped and has some shaping through the waist area. The piece can easily be layered up to combat the cold or left open and loose to sit as a comfortable top layer in a spring ensemble.

Just like jeans, denim jackets come in all shades of blue. (And other colours, although blue is definitely the most common.) A jacket in a medium wash denim is the most versatile and can be dressed up or down. If you're looking for "smarter" autumn and winter jacket, try a dark wash. Due to the darker colour, they usually look more polished.

You can wear double denim, but it definitely comes with a warning note. Make sure the tones of blue are different, so you are not matchy-matchy. It also helps if your top is longer in-between so it breaks up the denim.

Pair it with a white lace dress and boots to put a classic boho touch on a feminine look or To make your denim jacket more fancy, you can wear it with sequins and heels. It’s a fun mix for going out.

Make a maxi dress work for spring or fall by wearing it with a cropped denim jacket or Paired with a turtleneck and a maxi skirt, your jean jacket can easily give your outfit a ’70s vibe.

Pair your denim jacket with stripes, plaid shirts, and colourful pants – any of them is a classic spring look.

A classic denim jacket hits at hip length, which is ideal for pairing with jeans or pants, since it won't cut you off at the waist. A cropped denim jacket is a good choice if you want to wear it with skirts and dresses, as the shorter length visually raises your waist and elongates your legs. Just don't go too short, as it can look a little dated! Ideally, the hem will hit right around your belly button.

Comfort is key. You want your jacket to be tran-seasonal and have enough room to layer underneath. If you are always on the run, picking up kids or chasing the dog, ideally choose a jacket that has a touch of stretch (elastane) in the fabric.

Winterised '70s Women's Fashion

Summer's retro obsession continues on this winter.

It’s no secret that ’70s-inspired clothing is one of the major trends of Fall / Winter fashion. The romantic era of the ‘70s fashion was all about freedom, a variety of colours, eclectic looks and a tendency to mix and match different styles with each other. For the past two seasons, the hallmarks of the disco era have flooded the runways; bell-bottoms, shearling, suede, bohemian dresses — you name it, we’ve seen it. I know I jumped on the '70s train in my summer suedes, platform sandals, and button-front skirts. That's why I'm excited that the '70s trend is still going strong this winter.

You might think that the '70s trend is better suited to the warm months, but that's not the case. To wear the '70s trend in winter, keep your accessories, but switch out the white, gauzy, off-the-shoulder tops from this summer for a darker palette and eclectic accessories, textures, and layers.

Think about a statement piece that defines the 70’s and pull it with a modern outfit. Begin with adding statement elements like a self-tie bow or a large brim hat to your look and play with earthy colour tones, from various shades of brown and cream to khakis, gold, sunflower yellow, sand hues, antique red, denim blue and Lilly orange. and don’t forget layering for some effortless sophistication.

Try adding simple 70s elements, such as a suede makes for an effortless transition avoid dressing in '70s-style items from head to toe; instead, mix and match vintage pieces with contemporary ones, to bring your look into 2016.

Various vibrant kaleidoscopic prints and patterns are often used in the seventies style too. Think colourful brushstroke prints, geometric motifs, ethnic patterns, checkered prints, audacious abstract and floral designs.

MET GALA 2016 : THE RED CARPET

The first Monday of May marks an important date for the fashion industry: the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. The fanciest red carpet of the year, where guests (all personally invited by Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour, and wealthy enough to pay $25,000 for an individual ticket) are expected to dress according to a theme, that traditionally reflects the latest luxurious exhibit of the Costume Institute.

This year theme/exhibit is called “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology”. An ambitious project aimed to explore the blurring line between handmade fashion and machine-made fashion: a tribute to the technological evolution of the fashion industry.

Therefore it is no surprise to see Apple as a sponsor of the event.

Honorary chairs have been reserved to Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada and Nicolas Ghesquière; the host of the night was of course Anna Wintour, while this year’s co-hosts happened to be Apple's chief design officer Jonathan Ive, Taylor Swift and Idris Elba.

All the biggest names in fashion and Hollywood gathered together in New York to strut on the red carpet, but who was the queen of the night? Which designer managed to stand out in the crowd? Any worst dressed?

As you know I wasn't a fan of her naked "gown" last year, because to me it had nothing to do with the particular theme of the night. However I can't say the same about this year's latex number: I love it. It's daring, as her character, and might not feel comfortable, but the design is exquisite in my eyes. However let me state a fact: this is definitely one of those dresses that works only on specific people. Definitely not for everyone.

Zendaya in Michael Kors

This look oozes luxury from every angle: the design feels old school but the embellishment is a modern touch. The styling? A show-stopper.

Sienna Miller in Gucci

Given the night's theme, I was wondering how Gucci would have perfomed...Well, looking at this metallic gown on Sienna I would say: so good.

Katy Perry in Prada

Costumy, I agee. Especially the styling, but can we talk about the dress? It fits the theme to the bone.

Kate Hudson in Versace

As you will witness through this review, this will happen to be the only decent Versace gown of the entire event. Trust me.

Back to the dress, I like the construction and how it fits Kate, althought the styling could have been more dramatic.

Maternity style with an edge. Definitely old school in the design, but still a good choice for the gala.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

Finally Ms Kidman wears something we can all agree on liking. Pure elegance.

OFF TOPIC, BUT STILL GOOD

Blake Lively in Burberry

It took me a while to appreciate this: the cape brings on all the drama, but was it enough? The handcraft was beautiful, indeed this blush pink silk-organza design counts hand-dyed and sewn perspex petals. However I didn't feel the futuristic vibe.

Nina Dobrev in Marchesa

A cute and elegant look. I am sure that at a closer look the embellishment would feel amazing, however with no 'wow effects' à la Zac Posen, this gown seems more appropriate for a 'Gone with the wind' revival.

Jessica Chastain in Prada

No sign of future, just classic yet exquisite details. Besides I still have to find a blue gown that doesn't do justice to Jessica's beauty.

Lea Seydoux in Louis Vuitton

The French actress made her official debut on the MET's red carpet wearing as expected a Louis Vuitton design, as she was recently announced as the new face of the historical brand.

However, I don't even know if we can consider this a gala-worthy look, though Lea oozes class and mistery. Besides, note that this is the only decent Louis Vuitton outfit of the night.

Emily Blunt in Michael Kors

How many times have we seen this design? Many.

Luckily for Michael Kors, I am one of those who never gets tired to see it on a red red carpet.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce&Gabbana

A highly embellished look, no doubt, but I only like it from the waist-up.

Zoey Deutch in Dolce&Gabbana

A good living advertise for Dolce&Gabbana: out of theme, but it is impossible to call this not gala-worthy.

And the "Longest train award" goes to...Zoe!

Something tells me that with a shorter train, I wouldn't have paid attention to this look: not a fan, I know how to prise a drama-queen when I see one.

So Anna Wintour spent Vogue's money to give Taylor Swift an extreme makeover, the May cover of the magazine, the title of co-host at the 2016 Met Gala...and a dress perfect for the VMA?

Not Impressed.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West in Balmain

This Balmain/Kardashian/Jenner/West affair should come to an end. I am sure that MsD would have used more flattering words to describe this circus, I will try to emulate her.

Why forcing the styling that far? To keep the focus off the clothes?

Blue contacts, a questionable make up and denim on the MET gala's red carpet: reconsider your crush on Balmain, because ther is nothing appealing here.

A thousand times better than Kim Kardashian, but still plain.

Plus, the entire presentation aged this young girl of ten years.

Dakota Johnson and the new wave of Gucci designs are a match made in heaven...but not this time, and especially with futuristic theme.

The dress is nothing special, even if I like the color on her skin. The hair represent a desperate move to make the dress feel relevant.

This is a hard one, because everything looks beautiful, but I can't help myself from seeing this as a last minute design-idea.

I would have never told that this was a Donatella Versace design...because basically there is no actual design, just ideas badly mixed together.

Ok those fluffy feathers are giving me nightmares...especially those on the hem. Christopher Kane would never be on my favourites list.

I have never thought that I would say this one day, but Sarah Jessica Parker totaly failed a Met Gala's theme.

I like Alicia Vikander for Louis Vuitton, but after seeing her awards season look, this one feels like a joke.
