Beauty Pageant Minute: "Miss Bahamas Universe 2012" Celeste Marshall and the NIKOLAKI/Nick Verreos Connection

Five years ago, back in 2008, I was honored to have been invited to the "Islands of the World Fashion Week" in Nassau , The Bahamas. Along with my design partner, David Paul, we showed our most recent NIKOLAKI Spring 2009 Couture Collection. It was a huge success and we were beyond-thrilled with the fashion week, press, and naturally, the stunning locale of BEAUTIFUL BAHAMAS. Also, we had the most GORGEOUS models!

One of our favorite models was a gorgeous girl by the name of Celeste Marshall. In fact, I remember her being one of my personal favorite girls--so much so that we picked her as one of the models to do our "final" walk (as you can see from the photo at the top of this post). She was very tall--almost 6 feet tall, perfect size (she fit my gowns without any alterations) and she exuded Glamour, Beauty and an elegantly chic disposition. Oh, and yes, she could walk! All of that and (at the time) she was only 15 years old!

Cut to five years later and just this past July, Celeste was crowned "Miss Bahamas Universe 2012" at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island Bahamas. She will be competing in one month at the upcoming "Miss Universe 2012" pageant, to be held in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Already, I hear from my "pageantista sources" that she is one of the early favorites. And kids, I am not surprised. Celeste is a STUNNER.
