Hope your's is as sunny and delightful as mine ;) This morning I headed over to the Sephora Pacific Centre location in Downtown Vancouver to meet up with the NARS Cosmetics team, right on time for the launch of their brand new mascara, Audacious, an exclusivity to Sephora. I had the exciting opportunity to get a total audacious makeover my way, with the help of some of the brand's most iconic staples since its very first launch in 1994.
The arrival of Autumn always get’s me excited to try on new things and experiment with colours, finishes and textures. When it comes to the colder days, I am all about the nudes, the blacks, the bowns and those warm, earthy shades that builds a good Fall beauty look. Keeping that in mind, Cynthia Martinez, makeup artist from NARS Cosmetics, created for me a soft, subtle smokey eyes look which she paired to a very natural, young looking complexion and nude pout; definitely one of my go-to's next season !
She began with the focal point of this beauty look, a soft, refined smokey eye, using NARS Smudge Proof eyeshadow base to prep and set my eyelids. Up next, she used a newbie from NARS's Fall 2015 line, the Velvet shadow stick in Filibuste, to achieve a very thick and smudge-like eyeliner along my lash line. To build up the smokey eye look, Cynthia used three colours from the Narsissist Matte/Shimmer eyeshadow palette; Ithaca, a warm shade of nougat as the base, Zagreb, a chocolate shade infused with raspberry shimmer as the transition colour and Heraklion, an ultra back shimmery pigment as smoke colour. I love how NARS inspires self expression and imaginative artistry through an unexpected, no-rules philosophy of beauty !
Cynthia finished up my look with natural feathery brows which she drew entirely with NARS's brow perfecter in the shade Caucase, a youthful, bright complexion using the one and only, All Day Luminous Weightless foundation mixed with the brand's Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer and enlighten with the famous The Multiple stick in the shade Copacabana. Lips were outlined with NARS's Velvet lip liner in Waimea and filled in with a lip gloss from the brand in Chealsea Girls, a brand new colour coming out this Fall ! Of course, not audacious makeover would be complete without a couple coats of NARS's new Audacious mascara. Designed with over 200 molded bristles and lengthening hooks, its lash-catching brush evenly grips and coats lashes from roots to tips.
