Honda's Down-Under 'Hybrid' Billboards

In an Australian media first, Honda has installed a series of massive 'hybrid' billboards that are illuminated by solar power and backed up by 'green' energy electric (hence the somewhat misleading 'hybrid' title), for its new Honda Accord Euro. In cooperation with outdoor advertising specialists, APN Outdoor, Honda has installed the solar panels on several of its Accord billboards around the country. "Honda's well-earned reputation for minimising its environmental impact made this opportunity very attractive," said Honda Australia Marketing Manager, John Pranger. "Our goal is to leave blue skies for our kids and harnessing natural energy sources goes a long way to achieve this."

2009 Honda Zest Minor Facelift with new Spark Edition

2009 Honda Zest - Spark Edition Facelift The Honda Zest, a 'matchbox-sized' kei-car offered with a 3-cylinder 660 cc engine that is sold in Japan since 2006, has received a subtle facelift that includes the introduction of a new version called Spark Edition. The most significant changes across the range concern the new fascia and front bumper, the revised exterior mirrors, the new trim options for the interior and the improved standard equipment. As for the new Zest Spark Edition, in addition to the distinct front grille and bumper, it gets a 'sportier' interior trim with a new three-spoke steering wheel and black upholstery, a sport suspension set-up on the turbo model as well as new exterior color options and 14-inch alloy wheels.

Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept Study: Design Proposal for an Affordable NSX

The new V10-powered NSX may have bitten the dust due to the enduring global economic crisis (click here for details) but that doesn't mean that Honda fans can't continue to dream on. The Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept you see pictured above is a design proposal for a more affordable and down to earth NSX created by Colombian designer Leon Paz during his internship at Honda R&D Americas.

Acura 2+1 Coupe NSX Concept Study The concept features an aggressive look that adopts what Paz calls, a multi-faceted design language. "The idea was to show very aggressive styling on the body and keep it very simple on the top section with a dynamic roof line flow," Paz explains. One of the most interesting styling elements of the Acura coupe with its 2+1 seating arrangement is the prolonged transparent rooftop that allows a see-through view of the engine compartment.
