French toast

French toast is delicious way to use your leftover bread. It has rich and sweet flavor and you will love it.
Prepare it for breakfast, brunch or even a late night dinner, I wont tell anyone so don't worry! ;)
Here is a basic recipe!
Ingredients:
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 tablespoon of pure vanilla or vanilla sugar
pinch of cinnamon
butter
2 toasts (or 2 bread slices)

Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
Dip bread into mixture, allow to soak for a few seconds on each side.
Over medium heat melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick pan. 
Place bread at a time into the pan and cook until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Serve it with maple syrup or honey with fresh fruits or ingredients by your choice.
Bon appétit!

p.s. in most of the recipes measure is 1/4 cup of milk per one egg, but I like to use 1/2.

Francuski tost je odličan način da iskoriste stari hleb koji vam je preostao, te sa vama danas delim recept za ovaj slatki i jednostavni obrok!
Sastojci:
1 jaje
1/2 šolje mleka
1/2 kašike čiste vanile ili vanilin šećera
prstohvat cimeta
puter
2 tosta (ili parčeta hleba)

Umutite jaje sa mlekom, vanilom i cimetom.
Umočite hleb u smesu par sekundi sa obe strane, dozvolite da upije.
Zagrejte tiganj (srednja temperatura), dodajte parče putera.
Kada se rastopi, pecite tost dok ne postane zlatno-braon boje.

Služite uz javorov sirup, ili u domaćoj verziji uz med i sveže voće.

p.s. ukoliko želite da spremite veću meru, pravi odnos je: 1 jaje i 1/4 šolje mleka i začini prema ukusu, lično volim da bude malo tečnije, pa je moja razmera nešto drugačija! :)


Pancakes

Hello, it's Pancake Tuesday!
So let's start whisking!
This recipe makes light and fluffy pancakes. It's basic and simple, and you will love it.
Ingredients:
2 cups of flour (235 gr )
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 vanilla sugar
2 cups of milk
4 tablespoons oil
2 eggs

Mix dry and wet ingredients separately at first then combine just before cooking
Heat your pan to a medium temperature.
Cook the pancakes until the upper side of the pancake is blistering and bubbling, and then it's time to cook the second side, and this needs only about 1 minute.

And they are ready to be served! 

p.s. I love to eat them with fresh fruits, home made jams but also without any ingredient on top cause they are really tasty, not to sweet but you can still feel the right amount of vanilla which makes them even more yummy.

Nakon duge potrage za pravom merom i  nekoliko promašenih recepata uspela sam da pronađem onaj koji mi se dopada. Zbog toga sa vama danas delim omiljeni recept za američke palačinke!
Jednostavan je i lagan za pripremu, te sam sasvim sigurna da će se i vama dopasti.

Sastojci:
2 šolje brašna
2 kašičice praška za pecivo
1/2 kašičica soli
2 kašike šećera
1 vanilin šećer
2 šolje mleka
4 kašike ulja
2 jajeta

Odvojeno umešati suve i vlažne sastojke. 
Lagano ih spojite i mutite mikserom 2-3 minuta.
Podmazani tiganj zagrejte na srednjoj temperaturi.
Pecite oko minut (znaćete da je donja strana pečena kada se sa gornje pojave rupice).
Služite uz vama omiljene sastojke!

Raspberry and mascarpone cheese jars

This rainy day is perfect to prepare something yummy with raspberries!
Find some cute little jars and be ready for whipping.
Let's start!
Ingredients (depends on the number of jars or size of your serving bowl)
frozen or fresh raspberries 300gr
1 cup of sugar
mascarpone cheese 250gr
cream for whipping 250ml
3 vanilla puddings
milk 1200 ml
butter 50gr

Raspberry filling:
Put the raspberries and sugar in a small pan on a low heat and leave it to warm up. Once the cream
is just starting to steam, stir it until you get the desired thickness. After that,  remove it from the heat to cool it down.

Mascarpone cheese filling:
Whip the cream and mash it with the cheese.

Vanilla filling:
If you have enough time, you can prepare regular filling with eggs, but if you are in the hurry, you can cheat a little bit and make it with vanilla puddings. ;) Instead of regular way (500ml of milk per one pudding), prepare three puddings with 1200 ml of milk. You will get thicker filling. Then put aside to cool to room temperature but not set. Add the butter to sit until it melts.

After you prepare these three cremes, start filling the jars : raspberries, vanilla, mascarpone and repeat it (you can make your own order of course). And that's it!
Serve it cold!
 
And now, let's talk about my fridge and nutrition cause you were asking me a lot about my weight and how I'm managing to stay fit despite the fact that I eat lot of yummy things.
Couple days ago I published one photo on the Instagram and you really like it - What's in my fridge as the new What's in my bag! ;)
Lots of vegetables, fruits, cheese, sour creams and yogurts are groceries that I use on a daily base most of the time. Occasionally I eat junk food too, but I suppose that's a good balance. ;)
Instead of bunch of sweets from the store I pick home made cakes or cookies. And that's pretty much it.

If you try the recipe, let me know how do you like it!

Kao mlađa domaćica, nikada nisam volela one odokativne mere i recepte bez preciznih instrukcija.
A onda sam se prepustila i naučila da improvizujem i da ne pratim stroga uputstva (naravno da ponekad stvari završe u kanti). Počela sam da kombinujem filove i kore iz omiljenih recepata, pa je upravo tako i nastao današnji slatkiš u tegli koji je vrlo jednostavan za pripremu. :)
Potrebno je (zavisi od broja teglica ili veličine posude u kojoj se servira):
smrznute ili sveže maline (ili bilo koje bobičasto voće) 300 gr
1 čaša šećera
250gr maskarpone sira
250ml slatke pavlake
3 pudinga od vanile (uvek koristim Dr. Oetker)
1200ml mleka
50gr putera

Fil od malina:
na tihoj vatri skuvajte maline i šećer (u tiganju ili šerpi) uz povremeno mešanje (dužina kuvanja zavisi od gustine koju želite da postignite). Nakon što postignite željenu gustinu, ostavite fil da se prohladi.

Fil sa maskarpone sirom:
umutite slatku pavlaku u srednje čvrstu smesu. Dodajte omekšali maskarpone sir. Promešajte.

Fil od vanile:
skuvati tri pudinga u 1200 ml mleka, kada se prohladi dodati malo putera i fil je spreman.
Ukoliko imate dovoljno vremena, možete napraviti standardni žuti fil sa jajima, u suprotnom ne brinite, retki su oni koji će primetiti razliku. ;)

Potom počnite da punite teglice redosledom koji se vama dopada, ponovite postupak sve do vrha. Ostavite da odstoji u frižideru sat, dva a potom možete poslužiti.
Savet plus: kako bi sve boje došle do izražaja, ono što bih sada drugačije uradila jeste, dodatni sloj malina između belog i žutog fila.
Ukoliko isprobate recept, volela bih da čujem kako vam se dopalo! :)

Nikada ne preskačem doručak! Glad me napada čim otvorim oči, te ovu naviku od malena, sprovodim odmah. Sendviči na sto jedan način, omleti, salate - sve u zavisnosti od raspoloženja i apetita.
Ručak:  pored domaćih kuvanih jela, provuku se i paste, ali i Džejmijevi i Rudolfovi recepti. Salata je obavezna.
Večera i užine: salate, tunjevina, voće, šejkovi ili torte.
Da, torte. Umem često da večeram ceo red te voćno kremaste smese.
U svakom slučaju,  moja ishrana se bazira na domaćoj hrani, kuvanim jelima, konzumiranju svežeg povrća i voća, sireva, raznih namaza ali i ponekad velikoj količini šećera. I to je to! :)

Today I decided to share one simple recipe - Strawberry banana smoothie. It's super easy to prepare, so let's start revealing this "big secret"! ;)
Ingredients:
- Greek yogurt 150gr.
- one banana
- strawberries 200-250gr.
- honey.
Blend it and that's it. Do not forget to serve it cold!
If you like strawberries and bananas, you will be delighted with this smoothie! And the good thing about this drink is that you can always make your own version mixing your favorite fruits and other ingredients.

Enjoy in weekend, and Happy Easter!

Jagode spadaju u moje omiljeno voće i kao takve, koristim ih često tokom godine. Zbog toga sa vama danas delim jedan jednostavan recept (može poslužiti kao užina ili poslastica) za čiju pripremu je potrebno svega par minuta.
Sastojci:
- grčki jogurt 150gr.
- jedna banana
- jagode 200-250gr.
- med.
Promešajte namirnice u blenderu (ili štapnim mikserom) i to je sve! :) Ukoliko i vi volite jagode, sigurna sam da će vam se dopasti Smoothie, a dobra stvar je što uvek možete i sami napraviti kombinaciju koja najviše odgovora vašem ukusu. :)

Kao inspiracija za fotografije je poslužila kampanja za novi BU gel za tuširanje sa mirisom smokve i jogurta, i zbog toga će tri osobe imati priliku da ga osvoje i isprobaju! :)

My favorite way to start a day is to prepare breakfast and enjoy in all yummy things.
So today, I wanted to share one super easy recipe!
All you need is:
3 eggs,
2 dl of yoghurt,
1 dl of oil,
1 baking powder,
1 tea spoon of salt,
110 gr of flour,
110 gr of corn flour,
100 gr of ham/ prosciutto,
100 gr of cheese 

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and bake it in a silicone mold until they get this crispy yellow crust.
Bon Appétit!

 Svaki put kada "oživim" ovu rubriku  osetim se kao Britni na povratničkoj turneji. Novi projekat za nju, "novi" recept za mene. Pa da počnemo! ;)
 Potrebni sastojci:
 3 jaja,
 2 dl jogurta,
 1 dl ulja,
 1 prašak za pecivo,
 1 kašičica soli,
 110 gr brašna,
 110 gr projinog brašna,
 100 gr šunke / pršute,
 100 gr kačkavalja / sira

Umutite sve sastojke i pecite u silikonskoj modli dok ne porumeni ( ukoliko koristite običan pleh, obavezno ga prethodno podmažite). U našoj kući ih zovemo slani mafini, a vi možete koristiti koji god naziv želite sve dok su ovako jednostavni za pripremu i ukusni!;)

There is no better day to share with you my new favorite recipe than Saturday. You are still drunk from last night, and you need something to wake you up. And the best solution is to prepare the most delicious chocolate mousse ever! ;)
This chocolate mousse with raspberries is recipe from lovely Lorraine Pascale and you can find it HERE in English. I couldn't explain better than her in a million years! Its pretty much simple just follow her steps and you will have it on your table in less than 30 minutes!

Nakon duže pauze, rubrika sa receptima ponovo kreće! :)
Iako sam imala jaku želju da sve korake u pripremi ispratim i fotografijom, u jednom trenutku je postalo neizvodljivo jer je oduzimalo previše vremena. Veliki broj fotografija, njihov odabir, pravljenje kolaža, učinilo je da ova rubrika padne u neki deseti plan. Ali zbog velike ljubavi prema kuvanju i želje da i taj segment podelim sa vama, kao i vaših brojnih pitanja o tome, učinilo je ponovo "živom". :) 
Čokoladni mus sa malinama je prvi na listi, kao recept koji sam sa mamom spremala svakog vikenda proteklih mesec dana. Izvor: Lorraine Pascale.
Za svega 15-20 minuta dobićete neverovatno ukusan slatkiš, za koji verujem da ćete ga često pripremati. 
Sastojci:
2dcl slatke pavlake
3 jaja
100gr. mlečne čokolade
100gr. čokolade za kuvanje
1 kašika kristal šećera
2 kašike šećera u prahu
maline 

Priprema:
U šerpu staviti slatku pavlaku i čokoladu da se rastopi na slabijoj temperaturi ( potrebno je oko 5 minuta).
Za to vreme, umutite belanca, kada dostigne srednju čvrstinu dodajte kašiku kristal šećera, mutiti dok belanca ne postanu sjajna, potom dodati kašiku šećera u prahu, mutiti, i neposredno pre kraja dodati i drugu kašiku šećera u prahu.
U rastopljenu smesu čokolade i slatke pavlake dodati jedno po jedno žumance, umutiti ručno (mutilicom, varjačom). 
Potom dodati umućena belanca, postepeno i laganim pokretima kako bi smesa ostala vazdušasta.
Sipati u činije, ostaviti da se ohladi. 
Neposredno pre služenja, na vrh dodati maline i šećer u prahu.

Tiramisu is one of my favorite treats for several years ... I got this recipe from my friend's aunt, and it's the most similar one to those from cake shops. It's really easy to make, and if you are a sugar addict like me, this will be your happy day! ;)
You will need :
- 4 eggs
- 6 tablespoons of sugar ( 4 for egg yolks and 2 for egg whites)
- whipped cream 250 ml
- mascarpone cheese 250 ml ( Zanetti is my favorite brand , i gotta admit that i didn't liked this one which i used)
- two packages of ladyfingers ( it depends of your vessel)
- coffee for soaking up the ladyfingers ( i prefer Nescafe)
- cocoa powder . 

Follow the instructions and after couple hours you will have your home made tiramisu! Enjoy!

Tiramisu je već nekoliko godina na listi mojih omiljenih poslastica a kao takav , morala sam mu naći i adekvatnu zamenu koja bi bila napravljena u kućnoj varijanti, nešto najpribližnije  zabajone kremu i pravom ukusu tiramisu-a. Recept sam dobila od drugaricine tetke i od taga ga vrlo rado  delim . :)
Potrebni sastojci:
- 4 jaja
- 6 supenih kašika šećera
- slatka pavlaka 250ml.
- maskarpone sir 250ml. ( najlepši ukus ima sir marke Zanotti, moram priznati da mi se ovaj sa slike nije dopao)
- dva pakovanja piškota ( u zavisnosti od posude)
- kafa ( najradije koristim Nescafe bez šećera)
- kakao .

Pratite uputstva sa fotografija i kroz dva do tri sata ćete imati svoj domaći tiramisu! :) Fil koji preostane najčešće iskoristim za dezert u čaši, koji služi da se premosti vreme dok se tiramisu ne stegne! ;)
Ukoliko budete imali pitanja vezanja za sam proces, vrlo rado ću vam odgovoriti  jer sada postoji mogućnost da se pojedinačno to učini za svaki napisani komentar pa je samim tim i preglednije! :)

And here is my second recipe, after two months of laziness ( you can check here the first one) .... ;) I can eat potatoes every day , especially soups (pottage) and this one is definitely my favorite. Its really simple to prepare, you need a few basic ingredients and light lunch is ready for less than one hour. This recipe is from my grandmother ( she makes the best thick soups in the whole world) , but i adjusted to my own taste by adding chives, which is my favorite spice, sour cream and croutons.
"Potage" has its origins in the medieval cuisine of Northern France, so i can only say to you  Bon Appétit! ;)

Nakon praznika i teške hrane na red je došlo i nešto lagano ... :) A kao drugi recept po redu ( ukoliko niste pročitali prvi, možete ovde) je upravo gusta čorba od krompira, tzv. "potaž" , napravljen po receptu moje bake ( koja pravi najukusnije čorbe na svetu) uz minimalne izmene, tj. dodavanje jednog od mojih omiljenih začina - vlašca, kisele pavlake/milerama i krutona ( prepečni hleb). Jednostavno je za spremanje, a potrebno vam je svega nekoliko osnovnih sastojaka i lagani obrok je na vašem stolu za manje od sat vremena. Količina namirnica zavisi od veličine lonca u kojem ćete pripremiti čorbu ... Ukoliko isečete više krompira, uvek ga možete zamrznuti i iskoristiti za sledeći put. ;)
Bilo da je zovete "Potage de pommes de terre"  ili "seljačka čorba od krompira" , sigurna sam da ćete uživati! Prijatno!

People say that it is best to start new things on Mondays, and here we are .... 
Those who are following me on Twitter or FB page, knows how much i love food, and great photos with some delicious things.... I never told you about another  passion of mine - cooking. And its about time to show you.This is very important to me, cause i really enjoy and relax while im cooking,  so i decided to start sharing it with you. New section on my blog will be recipes, and i will post them occasionally. You will see the whole process of preparation for the most of them, and it will be super easy for you to repeat. If you save all these photos, you can browse it like a "book" while you're in the kitchen ( with your gadgets, like phone or tablet  for example) and follow the instructions directly.
The first recipe is "Lasagna with chicken and mushrooms" which my mom watched on Tv and then decided to make. Quantity of ingredients depends only from the size of your oven dish. Hope you will try it, its yummy!

Kažu da je ponedeljkom najbolje započinjati nove stvari ... 
Pa eto i nove rubrike na blogu vezane za recepte. Sigurno se pitate kakve veze imaju sa modom, i odmah ću vam reći - nikakve ( osim možda  u estetskom smislu) , ali kuvanje je nešto u čemu uživam, nešto što me neverovatno relaksira, te sam rešila da postane deo ovog mog " online mesta". 
Oni koji me prate na tviteru ili na FB stranici bloga, znaju koliko volim da postavljam fotografije sa hranom, pa će im ova rubrika biti potpuno smislena. Imaćete priliku da vidite ceo postupak pripremanja.
Verujem da ste primetili da više ne pišem dvojezično, jer mi  dosta vremena oduzima ovih par rečenica, da ne zvuče njanjavo, previše slatkasto, da moj smisao za humor ne pređe u nešto drugo, i zbog toga nekoliko rečenica na engleskom, sa svim gore navedenim elementima savršeno odgovaraju! :) Ali ću sastojke uvek napisati i na srpskom, da ne bude zabune oko namirnica i količine!
"Dalmatinske lazanje" ( izvor- tv emsija)
- ulje, luk, pileći file,
- oljušteni paradajz (prstohvat šećera, soli),
- vlasac, origano, vegeta, peršun, bosiljak,
- pečurke,
- neutralna pavlaka ( 250ml),
- prezle, puter, lazanje,
- kačkavalj.
Količina namirnica zavisi od veličine posude u kojoj ćete peći lazanje.
Nadam se da će vam se nova rubrika dopasti i da ćete probati ovo ukusno jelo! :)
