Georgina Chapman's Marchesa Will Return to NYFW Amid Harvey Weinstein Scandal

Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa fashion line will be returning to the New York Fashion Week runway in February for the first time since news broke of sexual harassment allegations against her estranged husband, film mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Chapman separated from Weinstein not long after the allegations of sexual harassment and assault broke as she was presenting the brand’s bridal collection, and has remained in hiding since, with the brand conspicuously absent from red carpets and its spring/summer preview canceled. But Page Six reports that Marchesa, which has been worn on the red carpet by dozens of stars, will be returning to NYFW in February for the first time since Weinstein’s allegations broke.

Marchesa will host its fashion show on February 14—the final day of New York Fashion Week—at 4 p.m. shortly before the Marc Jacobs presentation.

The brand’s last show happened earlier this year in N.Y.C. during Bridal Fashion Week on the same day the New York Times exposed Weinstein’s scandal, which led to his termination from his company.

Despite the controversy, Chapman and her business partner Keren Craig have had vocal support from friends including Meghan McCain, who wore a Marchesa dress to her November wedding. “The scandal erupted and everybody was like, are you going to keep the dress? And I was like why should the two women designers be punished for a man’s disgusting behavior,” McCain told People. “I just didn’t wanna feel like the people who had worked there and make their livelihood should be punished as well.”

Earlier this week, actress Alyssa Milano opened up about how Chapman, her longtime friend, was doing in the wake of her ex’s very public scandal, which led to some backlash from the always outspoken Rose McGowan on Twitter.

“Georgina is doing very well,” Milano told Today‘s Megyn Kelly. “She’s an amazing mother. She’s an amazing woman, and I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity given the situation.”

How to wear a White Blazer

(UPDATED CONTENT)

HOW TO WEAR A WHITE BLAZER

I love a crisp white blazer.  It is Spring's answer to Fall's essential leather jacket. With white being a strong trend this season, the white blazer is ready for its spotlight!  White is a very elegant and timeless colour but neutral so it goes with everything.

Wear a White Blazer with gem tones, neutrals, and animal or other prints. Or Use a White Blazer to create a backdrop to showcase texture like prints, leather, rouching, and pleating.  Whether it’s for a day, work, or evening, a White Blazer can pull an outfit together. Here are my styling tips:

Play with layering and wear a tunic and skinny jeans, or colour block with a rich toned blouse and skirt.

Pair a white blazer with a whimsical Spring dress for an effortlessly pulled-together outfit or the blazer-and-shorts look works perfectly on both petite and tall girls. The Structure of the blazer really balances the feminism, softness, and casual vibe of floral pieces.

For those who think floral is too girly, and want to try something sexy. You can pair a white blazer with animal prints! The pure and clean white blazer makes the wild and sexy print dress so stylish. Keep the colour palette neutral, like black and white, then add a bold coloured bag to brighten up the whole look.

Instead of the usual LBD, try out a blazer and jumpsuit for your next party. The black-and-white contrast demands attention.

A white blazer looks amazing paired with pastels and pair with tough accessories for a cunning ladylike look.

A blazer can instantly add polish to a pair of jeans. Create a casual, yet sharp look with a white blazer, flared jeans, a flowy silk top, and pointy-toe pumps. Perfect for a casual work environment or your next lunch date.

Wear white on white. This is one of my favourite pairings. It looks sweet, elegant yet modern and chic.  Too scared to rock all white? Totally don’t blame you by the way – I am like a stain magnet. Go for all black topped with a white blazer instead.

The inventers of coordinating style, Gigi and Zayn have an individual fashion sense that is all their own, but always make sure to twin with their other half, like few couples do.

2 TAYLOR SWIFT & TOM HIDDLESTON

Though the relationship didn’t make it through the year, Taylor tried out a new aesthetic while with Tom: edgy at times, yet sophisticated and chic, whether in off-duty denim or after-hours cocktail attire.

Bella and Tyler look as though they belong in the ‘90s more than any other couple out there. With a fondness for high-waisted cutoffs, leather jackets, and straight-leg jeans, they rock the retro decade with flair.

6 KRISTEN STEWART & ST. VINCENT
They're no longer together, but Kristen and St. Vincent often stepped out in the chicest looks possible. For one of their first public appearances, the duo chose to coordinate modern suiting looks in houndstooth and tweed.

SUMMER FASHION: #TEB ESSENTIALS

#TEBcrew 's fashion team is back for some trendy advice about your summery style: take a seat and enjoy some fashion pills by Stella, MsD & Phranci!

Stella
Summer fashion to me is all about 3 statement adjectives: comfortable, sexy and timeless. As I plan my upcoming vacation (USA here I come!), I already know what won't be missing in my luggage: classic denim shorts, like this one from One Teaspoon, a chic one-pice swimsuit (my ongoing fashion crush) by Norma Kamali for special pool-paties and sky-high lace-up wadges (Michael Kors), perfect to upgrade any look, from day to night.
A classic set, yes but you know me: if it's timeless, it's the right choice!

Imagine this: your toes in the sand, the sound of sea weaves, the taste of a fresh cocktail...
I think this Zara limited edition dress would definitely fit the scenario.
However, if you you are planning to pass your holidays at work, than this pretty Lazzari shirt should be your daily must-have! Check out the Lazzari website: there are a lot of interesting clothes, especially for romantic girls.
Last but not least a cool leather backpack: not so "summerish", yes, but I'm desperately looking for one! Zara had two nice versions, but they went out of stock like...immediately!
This college-inspired one is a good alternative to those high-end and too expensive Michael Kors/ Givenchy/Moschino designed leather backpacks.

For me Summer = Sea, so for this season's wishlist I picked three key-pieces for a holyday by the beach. First a crochet bikini by She Made Me, in my opinion the best brand for crochet bikinis. Then a pair of playful pom pom sandals, which I would style with a white cotton mini dress. Pom poms have been a big trend lately, with famous brands like Aquazzurra or Dolce &Gabbana using them to decorate their flat or heeled sandals and even bags. Finally a pair of colorful silk shorts. These Dolce & Gabbana shorts are the perfect choice for a holiday in Capri or Taormina!
