Here is my second look for January issue of Elle Serbia (you can check the first one here).
Same pants, scarf and bag but this time styled in more relaxed way with super cool sneakers and white coat.
If you can't wear sneakers at work, replace them with good old brogues and you are ready to go!

Hello January laziness!
Sometimes I like doing thing backwards so for the first post in 2015. I picked this look and in the next one I will share my wishes with you!
Winter parka and olive green sneakers with shiny finish are everything you need!
Okay and three pairs of socks, but who counts them anymore. ;)

Winter Wardrobe Checklist by Jay Alexander

Getting bored of your same old winter clothes...year after year? Jay Alexander has come out with great tips and essentials for your closet this winter. It may be time to spice up your look with new styles that do NOT break the bank.

Jay Alexander has been working in retail, in the U.S and internationally, for 20 years. This intense experience is what led him to be picked the Senior Style Advisor for 6pm.com. Prior to being a part of the team at 6pm.com, he was a buyer for women’s shoes. I held an interview with this famous fashionista pertaining to his winter wardrobe checklist. There are three headlines to pinpoint for this winter...

1.) Everything Cozy & Layered: Who doesn’t love to be warm and cozy during the frigid winters? This winter it is all about the layering. Knits are best to be comfortably combined. It is as easy as picking out your favorite coat to go over that soft sweater! Top this look off with suede boots along with a fringed handbag, and your style will be complete.

2.) Rock the Sporty Look: Jay Alexander wouldn’t dare leave out the men this season! He adores neutral or gray cardigan sweaters matched with a dark denim. If you’re not a sweater type of guy, there’s always the option of a Colombia jacket over a plaid button up.

3.) Holiday Dressing Tips: Time to bring out your best for the holidays! Dresses with shine--not sparkle--would be perfect for the occasion. Wanting to add in some sparkle? Of course, throw the bling into your outfit with your shoes or clutch. Make sure you don’t forget to leave your everyday coat in the closet! Special dresses call for beautiful coats. An option to be raved about is a long white coat to finalize your classy look.

Many times it is forgotten that accessories can change your whole outfit. A dress one day can be suiting for a lunch out with the family AND perfect for a night out in the city. Pick and choose combos of boots, handbags, and jewelry to fit the event.

6pm.com is a great and affordable website for women, men, and children. There is an abundance of featured brands. Each and every day there are sales of 30-70% off as well as free shipping. Are you thinking this is too good to be true? Get online and check it out!

OTK Boots + Sea NY

Dress: Sea NY PF14 Similar Here | Jacket: Karen Millen New Season Here | OTK Boots: Russell & Bromley Similar Here | Clutch: Karen Millen

Ciao bellissimas! Can we talk about these boots?! Stuart Weitzman at Russell & Bromley over the knee deliciousness to be specific. These babes are so popular, apparently they're like gold dust, and sell out almost every time they're re-stocked. Get them on your Christmas list now, and pray that Santa gets there in time.

Over the knee boots are definitely an item which have gained popularity over the past few seasons. The designs have developed and OTK boots are now easier to style than ever.

Here are three of my favourite ways to do so:

1: Cape + Knee Length Dress  (like I'm wearing) + OTK boots

2: Skinny jeans + oversized knitwear + OTK boots

3: Cocktail dress + shoulder-robed jacket + OTK boots

Oh and I've got to tell you about SEA - a brand which is new to me - but one which I KNOW you'll love to. New York based SEA is one of those brands which makes you want everything on first look. Feminine, just the right amount of edgy, and pieces which feel both timeless and unique. Love, love love. I recently attended the SEA SS15 press day, and I can't even tell you how much better it gets next season. Almost all of the girls in the PR office were wearing the brand (they look after many other designers too) and they all looked ace. Like 'I really need to stop that girl and ask where she got that from' ace. I've got my sights set on this perfect trans-seasonal jersey. The price point of SEA hits mid-high, but I can absolutely attest to the quality, and know that the pieces are ones you'd wear for years!
How do you guys feel about over the knee boots? Do you have a pair already, or are you considering the investment this year?!

In unrelated news: I'm going pumpkin carving tonight! So. excited.

Have an awesome day all!

Love,

MB x

All Gray Everything

Silver slip ons: Russell & Bromley c/o Similar Here | Skirt: Next c/o | Jumper Twist & Tango Past Season Similar Here and Here | Bag: Ralph Lauren c/o

Hey pretties! Here's to the WEEKEND! Tonight Ols and I are hosting some of our friends for dinner, and I am so excited to rustle up some yummy seasonal food. I'm looking here for starter inspo, and here for dessert. YUM.

This week I've had a handful of early - like moon still in the sky - starts, and so I am REALLY looking forward to some bed time, friends, and apple picking on Sunday!
The past few days has also marked the opening of my jumper drawer for the first time this season, and OH MY, had I forgotten how much I love great knitwear. I was invited to visit Next's head office this week, and pulled on this gray on gray ensemble for one of the aforementioned crack of dawn starts. A mid-length skirt is such an easy look, it's polished but comfortable, and when you have a commute ahead of you, it's IDEAL. I wouldn't have thought to pair a long skirt with a thick roll-neck jumper, but I saw similar proportions on one of my favourite bloggers, Jessie, and was converted.

The Next HQ was so inspiring, especially the design studio which was flooded with light. There is a converted warehouse near our apartment which rents out offices, perhaps one day I'll make the move from bedroom/home office, to a floor-to-ceiling window lit space too . . . !! Hmm. Thinking cap on.
Obsessed with this Next HQ design space! The shelving! The Light!

What are you guys up to this weekend? Have you delved into jumper-land yet? And if so, how are you wearing yours?

Hope you have an awesome few days off! Let's DO this!
