Pregnant Kate Middleton Looks Gorgeous in Lace Dress at Palace Party

Kate Middleton bonded with families in the grandest of settings on Tuesday evening, as she helped host a party for a charity at Kensington Palace
Kate, 35, who is expecting her third child in April, attended the gala for one of her key mental health organizations, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF) at the magnificent Orangery, a stunning 18th century structure that is a stone’s throw from her palace home.

The royal mom, who was elegant in a Diane von Furstenberg black dress with lace sleeves (check out a similar look for less!), left Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, snuggled up for night in nearby Apartment 1a to spend time at a pre-dinner reception with families who have benefited from the organization. The AFNCCF works to help those who find themselves in vulnerable situations battling mental health challenges.

Kate greeted her guests as she made her way around the room in her floor-length dress, which showed off a hint of a baby bump.
Kate recently returned to her royal duties after suffering from severe morning sickness during the first months of her pregnancy.
The royal is a longtime supporter of the Anna Freud Centre. In January, she visited their Early Years Parenting unit that supports families who have children under 5 years old.

“She knew exactly what these mums were talking about — about children not sleeping and how stressful it is to try and bring up small children,” Peter Fonagy, chief executive of the charity, told PEOPLE at the time. “All the mums said how much she talked to them as just another mum.”

GORED SKIRTS/GODETS

Gores are shaped sections of fabric that allow the waist of a skirt to be shaped without the use of tucks or gathers. The number of gores used to make up the skirt can range from four to over twenty. The shape of the gores at the hem can be varied to create different hemline silhouettes. Godets are pieces of fabric, usually triangular or semi-circular, inserted into the hem of gored skirts at the seams to give a flounced effect.

SLITS

Slits are of different lengths and can be located in different parts of skirts, usually along the seams. Except with wraps, where the slit is hidden by the overlapping fabric, slits are shown with a diagonal slash at the top of the slit and shading is used to show the opening.

WAISTS

A reminder shown here in the illustrations: waists can bend both upwards and down, depending on slightly different points of view, but they always bend!

SEAMS, GORES, AND YOKES
A seam can run through any section of the garment, helping to create its shape and architecture. A seam is drawn with a thin line. Remember to put seams at the armhole and waist if they are required.
A yoke is a horizontal pattern piece. It is used to control ease of fullness. Yokes are used at the shoulder and at the hip line and now in many different areas of garments.

From perfect jeans to budget shoes

fashion insiders share what they really buy on repeat

Did you know that if you type the magic word ‘trend’ into the search bar on the H&M website, your browser adjusts to reveal an edit of only the brand’s newest, most-wanted pieces? Or what about the fact that Net-A-Porter’s new deliveries drop on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - so if you shop then, the boots you’ve been wish-listing for months might actually be available in your size for a change. These are the tricks of the trade you only learn when you shop a hell of a lot. For a living, even. So who better to ask for tips on where to buy the very best wardrobe staples than fashion insiders themselves? We’re talking about the buyers, editors and PR gurus who have put in the groundwork and eliminated the fluff to find classics that work harder and feel better than anything else out there.

Mesraya Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas with Clothes Dress

There are many ways a couple can do to show the seriousness in the relationship, one of them by adjusting the style of dress. As a couple who just announced their engagement, DNCE band member Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner always look good on various occasions. For everyday style, both share the same tastes in a simple appearance that is with T-shirts and jeans. However, do not forget they always add interesting attributes that still make them look cool, like outerwear in the form of a bomber jacket or jeans jacket.

1. Appropriate with denim

Both look harmonious with a suit made from denim. If Joe chooses a denim jacket with bright colors, Sophie chooses a darker color to match his pants.

2. Match in a sports suit

On several occasions, Joe and Sophie are seen exercising together like jogging or hiking. With sporty suits and sporty sneakers, they look so harmonious.

3. Match with a sweater

Still carrying a simple style, Joe and Sophie are often seen using outerwear sweaters that keep this couple warm. Combined with black sunglasses and boots, Jo-Phie's simple style still looks interesting.

LITTLE WHITE LACE

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone! I just wanted to say a quick hi and share a few images of one of my favorite little white dresses at the moment. Though I am definitely partial to white dresses in general, something about the casual ease of this particular one, really appeals to me.

Yet another one of those dresses you can dress up or down depending on occasion, for today's look, I chose to pair it with pretty espadrilles ( also obsessed with this pair & this one ) and my Chloe Inez bag ( last seen here & here ), which I've been wearing with pretty much everything this summer because it completes every look in the most wonderful way! Hope you don't mind seeing it so much!:)

P.S. Hope you having a wonderful weekend!

VL TRAVEL: OJAI CALIFORNIA

After a few particularly busy weeks ( we're finalizing a big trip coming up in the next 2 weeks, getting ready for Fashion Month in September, and of course working on new content for VivaLuxury ), Emil and I reached a tipping point and decided that we needed to leave the hustle and bustle of LA for a little while.

We didn't want to travel somewhere far, and after considering a few of our all time favorites like Laguna Beach ( see our recent adventures here ) and Santa Barbara ( check out a recent post on our favorite SB wineries here ), we decided to try something new and headed to Ojai.

Just a quick drive from LA, we fell in love with Ojai the moment we saw it! The city is absolutely gorgeous, yet I think what we enjoyed about Ojai the most is the multitude of activities it offers like hiking, biking, dining, wine tasting and shopping of course! :) So, if you're considering a trip to Ojai, I definitely recommend it! There is so much to do and see, you won't be disappointed!

New look is up, yet another one from my skiing trip to Austrian & Swiss Alps with one of the trends of the season - fringes. I've mixed this Pocahontas styled dress with my very favorite, classy camel coat. How do you like this style, fashion lovers?
