The Fall 2011 fashion trend can be descibed as bold, daring and even timeless. Prints and patterns were turned into a mashup, colors were bold and electirc, designs looked spotty, women dressed like men and low and behold the 40's and 60's returned. In other words the Fall 2011 fashion trend was in the best way a FASHION EXCESS.

This season matching is SOOO last year. Mary Katrantzou combined eye catching prints such as animal and flower in a way that some people couldn't even imagine. but clearly this collection was perfection. In addition she used these prints to compliment her lamp shade flared skirts. She even enhanced one of the skirt more (picture on the right) by adding three dimensional flower buds

Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2011 Ready to Wear Collection
Once again this seasons trends were borrowed styles and tips from the boys. Dolce and Gabbana achieved this by pairing mens' trousers with either a perfectly jacket and a crisp white tuxedo shirt leaving everything to the imagination or kept it simple with the trousers and the tuxedo shirt.

Mui Mui and Aquilano.Rimondi sent their models down the runway time machine in their 40s and 60s inspired collection.
Mui Mui (on the left) got her inspiration from the 40's. The collection was filled with inverted triangle jackets and dresses. She completed the look by having the model wear matte red lips and having their hair held back by combs. Where as Aguilano.Rimondi (on the left) got inspiration from the 60's. The runway was covered with Jackie Kennedy-esk dresses and jackets
